Dearly Beloved's

My son was married at Dearly Beloved's in November 2008. The setting was quaint and every detail was perfect. It was apparent that everything had been well planned and that the wedding party just needed to show up. The reception area behind the chapel was beautifully decorated and the lighting was perfect. There were plenty of tables and chairs and an adequate area for dancing. The restrooms were convenient and clean. Parking was very convenient. Most of the attendees were from Texas. We thought Nashville (Old Hickory) was a beautiful city for a wedding and it was easy to get to Dearly Beloved's. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone considering a wedding in the Nashville area.

We wanted an intimate and family oriented wedding and Dearly Beloved's delivered exactly what we envisioned for our special day. They were professional and responsive to all of our requests and needs.



My husband and I were coming from Houston and chose Tennessee for it's beautiful fall setting. We also wanted to get married in a fun city since all of our guest were coming from out of town. We did not have an opportunity to visit the chapel prior to our wedding and we had to trust that it would turn out alright. I sent pictures of our wedding cake ideas and gave details of what we wanted to see at the reception, down to the floating candles. Katherine listened to our request and delivered everything according to our requests. When we arrived at the chapel, just days before our big day, I was surprised! Everything looked exactly as I imagined. The cakes were perfect and a mirror image of the photos submitted. The reception room was comfortable and decorated beautifully. We were sincerely excited to be married in the chapel.



Our wedding day was so fun and I still think of it and smile. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a lot of fun. The photos, provided by KRS Photography, were exceptional and we are very proud of our wedding album and all the fun pictures that clearly capture our joy. The DJ was very professional and played the music we requested and the food was great. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect and memorable day.

I got married at Dearly Beloved's, and it truely was one of the best days I have ever had. When my mother, and I met Kathryn, and Lana we were very excited to be having my wedding there. They were very nice, and passionate about making sure every last detail of mine was met. My husband wanted quiche, and they made sure to have it just for him. I could thank Kathryn, and Lana enough. My wedding day was a breeze, and I was able to simply enjoy it with out any worries. Everthing was done for me. How great is that? I don't hesitate to recommend them to everyone I meet.

My daughter was married here in Decemeber and the words that describe this is breath taking. This was a very busy time of year and the staff at Dearly Beloved took care of everything. They did all the planning, decorating, coordinating, and all arrangments. We just showed up and they took care of all the planning. They are your all in one stop shop for a wedding. They took time to listen to what my daughter wanted and made sure that everything went the way she wanted. They are so wonderful. They even made to go packages with the food for the Bride and Groom to take with them.

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to plan a wedding. They have this down to a science. There is not one thing that I would change.

I had both my wedding and reception here and I could not ask for a more perfect day.

Everyone at Dearly Beloved's did an exceptional job at taking all the stress out of the wedding. All we had to do was show up and get dressed. I could not ask for anything more. I would highly recommend this to anyone. All of my quests went on and on about how beautiful everything was.

My husband and I were married at Dearly Beloved's in the summer of 2006. It was not only planned and decorated EXACTLY as I had requested, but the prices and what you get are EXTREMELY reasonable. Lana is a very professional and precise wedding planner. Obviously some reviewers did not appreciate that about her. I know my mother and I could not have done it without her. Katherine is by far the best photographer in the Nashville area. She has since taken "Belly Pics", Christmas Pictures, and many more. She makes your pictures all your own, especially with the beautiful scenery around the chapel. I would recommend Dearly Beloved's, Lana, and Katherine to anyone who truly wants that special day to be perfect!

...I am skeptical of the negative reviews at the start of this page. I think they all came from the same wedding and it's not clear what they're really upset about.



We do not have a single complaint regarding our experience with Dearly Beloved - none! I would rate six stars if it was an option. I would characterize Lana as "salty", but absolutely not excessively-so, and certainly not the least bit rude to us or any of our guests. She spent the entire wedding working hard to make it a success.

My daughter got married at the Dearly Beloved's Chapel in December of 2007, and we had a wonderful experience working with Lana and Catherine. Because I live out of state, it was a little stressful helping my daughter plan her big day from a long distance, but Lana and Catherine were always very cordial and helpful whenever I called. When I was able to make the long trip to Nashville on several occasions to meet with my daughter and needed to consult with them, they always made us feel welcome and were very patient with us. The chapel was exactly what my daughter had envisioned for her special day, and everything turned out beautifully. We held the reception down the road at the local country club; Lana and Catherine were great in helping us plan and work with the club as well. Also, Catherine did an awesome job with the pictures, and we were very happy and satisfied with our package. I recommend the Dearly Beloved's Chapel if you are looking for a small, quaint venue in a beautiful setting!

We had my daughter's wedding at Dearly Beloved's and I could not be happier! From the moment we met with Katherine I knew we were in good hands. She was amazing! She guided us through all the decisions - from decorations and flowers to food and photography. She worked with us every step of the way to make sure everything was perfect. Lana, the owner, is a true Steel Magnolia! A perfectionist to be sure, but tempered with Southern grace and charm. Her attention to detail and determination to simply provide the best service took all the stress out of having a wedding! Everything was taken care of for us, all we had to do was show up! The chapel was beautifully decorated and the wedding was wonderful. The reception was terrific with the food and service was outstanding. After it was over and we were leaving, Lana actually came rushing over carrying a large gift bag - containing 2 'to go' boxes for the bride and groom! She explained that the bride and groom never have time to eat at the reception so they send them home some food. Wow, these people think of everything!

My wife and I selected this place to get married and we met with the owner and photographer several times to lay out the plans. They decorated the chappel and the reception room based on our input and it looked great. The photography was really good and Katherine was very patient with us. They also made strong efforts to make sure everything went well and that it was a memorable day. I noticed that a number of other reviews that are negative were all made in a three day period. Apparently this was one wedding that seemed to not go too well for whatever reason and everyone in the wedding party decided to review it negatively. Fair enough but our wedding was just wonderful.

my day was a sunny and beautiful day as I was pictured it. everything was on schedule and ceremony was on time. the service and coordination was good. Lana did a good job to coordinate the ceremony and reception the whole time we was there. Kathrine was a excellent photograher..she did an excellent job. all my pictures are turned out very nice and I love it. thank you so much to make my special day a wonderful memory to me, my friends and family.

My wedding day at Dearly Beloveds was exactly as I had pictured it! It was a beautiful sunny day...my close friends and family were there with us...and the service was wonderful! I was very disappointed when I could not have my preacher there to marry my husband and I, but I was pleasantly surprised by the day just being perfect! Katherine and Lana did an excellent job and kept me calm and excited the entire day leading up to our ceremony time! Katherine and Lana met with me several times prior to my wedding day and made absolutely certain that they knew what I wanted to make this day special! I could not have been happier with our wedding!

well my best friend had here wedding at this place and dont get me wrong it was beautiful and the pictures were amazing but the red headed devil of an owner was so rude to everyone and just made everyone feel unwelcome! my best friend was the bride and i am a hair dresser so i did everyone in the bridal partys hair and after the wedding ceremony they went to take pictures so i needed to be there to make sure everyones hair and makeup were looking the best they ciould and she would not let me back where they were taking the pictures because i was not part of the actual wedding party even after the bride told her i was to be there when they were taking the pictures... so i had to go out the back exit and walok all the way around the building to where they were doing pictures ... and she had to pay 150.00 for there to be alcohol at the reception and there was not nyone serving the alcohol all the children had access to the alcohol it was sitting right next to the punch so they could have drank alcohol instead ofpuch and not even known it.. the servers did not wear hairnets or gloves... it was honestly just a mess... it has made the bride have a horrible memory of what was supposed to be the best day of her life...to sum this all up i would not have my wedding here if my life depended on it... the owner is just plane rude she does not think about your feelings all she is worried about is getting paid and getting you in and out so she can go home and twiddle her thumbs or do whatever it is she does...

I have a friend who got married here the first part of October. The owner/proprietor Lana Robinson, was very rude to my friend, the wedding party and the guests. The wedding party was not allowed into the church at the time agreed, therefore they were not ready when the guests started to arrive. Ms. Robinson ran roughshod over everyone in her pursuit of "calm and order". During the reception, several small children of the guests were playing on the dance floor (which no one was using at the time). Ms. Robinson stood over them, glowering like the Wicked Witch of the West. (She fit this role perfectly with her painted on eyelashes -really! and her not found in nature shade of red hair styled to resemble an 80's rock band) At one point, a parent asked her if there was a problem to which Ms. Robinson responded as if she was running a home for unruly, incorrigible children. Several guests left early because of her attitude. Ms. Robinson also failed to order a specific decorative/commemorative item for the bride that was to honor her deceased mother. Ms. Robinson also charged a fee for a server to serve alcohol but these services were not provided - rather it was a self serve beverage buffet. Any child could have walked right up and helped themselves to alcohol. Although the facility and the wedding were beautiful, I would not recommend this place for your wedding.

I attended a wedding as a guest and let me tell you, children and friendly people are not welcome here!!!! I am an over protective mother with a 12 year old and 12 month old. I attended with my 12 month old and very disappointment in the "host" during the reception. I am 40 years old and this women gave me and my child the look of "i wish you would leave" all night. I sat there patiently, as this was a night for the bride and I thought i was being judgemental because she looked and acted soooo mean. But, as the other small children began to dance in the middle of the floor and start enjoying themselves, her behavior worsened. A friend that I came with could not take this womens actions any longer and asked her, very nicely, "are we bothering you?". Her reponse, to a guest, "yes, the children are a problem". I could not believe that children dancing ON THE DANCE FLOOR and following each other around while a crowd of parents were seeing to their care, was bothering her. I thought to myself, she is crazy. These WELL BEHAVED children were having fun and celebrating the way children do. I have been around alot of weddings and alot of children and these kids were almost perfect. It's a true shame that someone in this business has such a hate for children, because only someone so unkind would act the way this women did. My friend continued to be upset by her response and behavior and very nicely asked, "Would you like us to leave?" and the host reponse was "that is up to you!". Can you believe that....it's up to you. Why would anyone running a business have someone like this around a customer???!!!! If you have no friends to invite and don't care how you are treated and want to work with someone who doesn't care about you or your wedding day, then this is the place. But if you want a special experience, then STAY AWAY!!!! THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES! They have yet to appologize for this behavior to the bride and still do not care about her or how they have ruined her most special day in her life. it's a shame that people like this exist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I attended a Wedding/Reception for a friend at this chapel. The place was beautiful inside and out..very quaint, comfortable and clean, BUT.... the lady who ran the place was EXTREMELY RUDE and put a damper on the mood. Everytime you turned around, she was right there, with a scoul on her face staring a hole into you and the children. We had about 5 or 6 kids in attendance, and as soon as the lady saw them... it was a red flag! She was more concerned about the kids than anything else. Our kids were not doing anything out of the ordinary, just having a good time. We kept calling this lady the "General" as she stood there, arms folded, with a look of disgust! Alot of guests did leave early because of her attitude, it was very uncomfortable. I have attended alot of weddings with lots of children in attendance, i have 12 neices and nephews myself, and have never seen anyone act this way towards the children and parents. If you are just getting married and plan on inviting a cpuple gusets and NO KIDS, i would say this is a very nice place...just read your contract carefully and BE AWARE!!!

I had my wedding there in 10/08. Although I married the man I have loved for 9 yrs and being married to him that was the best thing and no one can take that from me. But where we got married was the worse ever. My guest were treated terrible and very disrespected. If your family or friends have children then do not have it at this chapel. Your child can not be a child. They can not be out of their seats period. If they are being children and dancing or celebrating as anyone does at a wedding the parents are considered unfit parents. Children will be children and will dance sing play as any child does. But my guest that were there at my wedding with their children due to the demeaner and rudeness of the owner left before my reception was over. If you have alcohol you have to pay $150 for what was quoted to me for an outsider to come in to set up and serve the alochol cause she does not have a license to serve the alochol. But there was no one serving the alcohol. I paid $150 for them to stick it in ice and set on the tables unattended where children could have access to it. She was concerned about the kids dancing and playing and having a good time instead of making sure they were drinking the punch and not the alcohol that was sitting out in the room. Plus I was suppose to have a glass heart by my mothers picture that passed 2 yrs ago, and she never ordered it. She stated that she was going to order the heart and pay for it out of her pocket because she felt so bad by not ordering it. Well it has been a month and I still haven't received it. My pictures were Beautiful and I did get married but she has put alot of stress in my life and disappointment that my co-workers & family were treated so disrespectfully!!!! Her wording in her contracts are very deceiving to what you really receive. You are treated very good on the front the end but on your most important day it is a different story. You are better off forking the money out to do in your back yard than having your special day ruined by this womans rudeness. Very Emotionally Upset!!!! Beware of this place and God Bless
