I've worked for Hatch's new onsite manager Jake Shirk while he was a manager at Fund for the Public Interest in Pittsburgh. Jake is very personable and easy to work with. He gets the job done and brings out the best in his employees, always maintaining a positive atmosphere in the workplace. I am very confident you'll enjoy working for Hatch!

Run, do not walk, from this company. . .it is the very definition of a sweatshop! Most importantly, the local manager is a sociopath. . .thoroughly mean and nasty. . .on her good days. She is thoroughly incompetent and is constantly screaming at employees to compensate for her managerial inadequacies. The company preys on immigrants that speak little or no English and therefore cannot stand up for themselves. Employees are forced to come in a half hour before shift start and sit without pay. For $8.50 per hour, the constant abuse is simply not worth it. Hatch actually is an employment agency that hires and pays about 80% of the employees that work at this Federal Express SmartPost facility. The other 20% are regular Federal Express employees. The Federal Express employees are fairly agreeable and fine to work with. However, the Hatch operation is completely dysfunctional. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to get a job as a Federal Express employee without going through Hatch first.
