We love Caffe Pranzo! Its a cute little place, it can be casual but the romantic lighting and wine selection make it a perfect place for a date or special occasion. We hate poor service, and thats another thing we like here is the consitency of their service. We always get their ceasar salad which has just enough spice and is never drowning in the dressing, my husband and I have had at least 1/2 of the entree's on the menu and I can't think of one we didnt like. You have to get the NY cheesecake- it's huge and comes with a yummy vanilla and raspberry sauce. Also I have to say the prices are great- we can get out of there for under 50.00 for the 2 of us and thats with wine and dessert. My only compaint?- I always get too full! The person who said the lasanga was not good is crazy- my husband always gets it when he cant decide what he wants b/c its always good. last thing- they have a crazy collection of salt and pepper shakers- different ones at each table-all kinds of little themes. it's cute.
Trattoria is a great new restaurant in downtown, located a block south of the civic center. right from the time you enter this restaurant you are transformed, the hosts greet you with a smile, a magnificent wine display shows off their affordable wines and you can see right into the kitchen where all the fabulous cooking is going on. The food we had was some of the best i have had in okc in a very long time. We had the rigatoni buttera, tuna saltimbocca and the filet with gorgonzola ravioli. Not only was the food great it was presented beautifully. Our sever was able to answer any question we had about the food and paired our wines to match the items perfectly. If you want a night out and a great experience in dinning go to this one of a kind restaurant you will not be disappointed. You will have wished you found it earlier and you most definitely will tell all your friends. Last but not least it is extremely affordable so even if you are on a budget you can still have a great experience.
I ate here last week, and was greatly impressed. Although it cost a bit more than some of the other Italian resturants, I imediatly knew where that money went. The food was amazing (the chicken was fresh, something you will never find in a chain), and the wine list was impressive. Our server, Mindy was very friendly, and the bartender had an extensive knowledge of the wine list. (Oh and they actually served the wine in a real glass, not the 9oz saftey glass you get at some wine bars!) I sat on the "adult side" as our server called it, which was a slightly more formal, adult-only half of the resturant. They also had a more family-friendly side, for those with kids. At the end of our meal I was surprised that the owner of the resturant came out to personally thank us for comming out. Now thats something you simply dont see anymore. All-in-all a great experiance, and a new place to add to my "favorites" list.
