I was very very happy with my experience staying at the Baymont a couple of weeks ago. The rooms were clean and had lots of extras, such as several packages of coffee and tea and a small coffee maker. An armoire held a travel iron and ironing board, and there was a hair dryer in the room also. But what really impressed us was the free continental breakfast we had the next morning. I was expecting doughnuts and coffee, but we got nearly a full fledged breakfast. There was coffee, juice and milk to drink, and the variety of food laid out for us was generous. There were bagels and muffins, several choices of cereal. yogurt and fresh fruits and best of all were the waffles. They had a machine that doled out the right amount of waffle mix to make your own waffles in their two industrial waffle makers. We had the best time eating this wonderful continental breakfast and visiting with the other hotel guests dining there. Also the staff were helpful and courteous and the lobby was neat and clean and the price for the room was very low especially when considering all the extras that made it such a wonderful experience. The next time I have an opportunity to spend the night in OKC, this is where I will be staying!

Nice hotel - with a recent remodel. Nice employees. Tastefully decorated rooms. Wonderful convention area. My reason for 3 stars: cleanliness of the room - or lack thereof. Our carpet had a large stain right as you entered the room. I'm sure hotels must have some sort of professional carpet cleaning equipment/chemical to remove this type of thing?! The bathroom has a type of small frosted glass french doors. Those were finger printed and smudged up so badly, I had to restrain myself from cleaning them during our entire stay! Our window shade was broken (the very friendly maintenance man said it needed a new part). However, shouldn't housekeeping have at least tried to pull the top of the shade into place? When we arrived it was pulled all apart and looked awful. We found a pair of flip flops on the floor by the edge of one bed. Finally, the sheets of one bed were...questionable. The fitted sheet had black stains on it...Not sure what it was... I think the cleaning staff might need an overhaul!!
Fine mall. It has some pricey botique and furniture stores, nail salon, a weird yoga/bike place, cheap shoe store, jewelry store. Nearby outside the mall are a few restaurants, like City Bites that moved outside the mall. The mall is not very crowded at all usually. There's a Santa every winter, that's crowded. The rest of the time it's quite sparse in shoppers which I like. There's also the "dollar" theater (it's $2 now, but $1 on Tuesday nights). I like the theater. It's older, sure, but less crowded. The commenter below makes me laugh... "risking your life over?" Please. Northpark Mall is statistically very safe, and so is the area. A few property crimes and car break-ins every now and then happen everywhere. That's hardly "risking your life." The person should have called the non-emergency police number after a break-in, not mall security. After car break-ins, about all you can do is report it to police and call your insurance company.
