Looked at Shepler's big selection but the only boot's that I really liked that fit were Chinese made. So I went to Langston boots in the stockyards and the same situation. My son went to Doc's right behind the Langston on store on the recommendation from a clerk. My son wasn't finding what he wanted either. He found a pair of hand made calavary boots that fit him perfect. We got back to the hotel and tried his boots on. They were very comfortable and a very nice boot for the price $159.99. So the next day I went and found a perfect (for me $179.99 same price as the Chinese boots) pair of handmade on the premises cowboy boots. The best part was having Doc explain how boots should fit and what happens to boots as far as fitting over time and care for the boot's. What oils to use on different type of boots. The knowledge that you don't get at Big stores like Sheplers or Langstons. I know because my wife bought boots from them. Both big store's had good service just not the knowledge and experience of a cobbler.
Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable of their product and of their customer's needs. You can come in that door not knowing them, but you will leave feeling like a friend. I have taken my growing toddler in 3 times and about to take him in for a 4th. I was having troubles finding him the wide width he needed, but not with them. They do have a more limited selection but it is of the latest seasonal and classic styles. Then if you don't like what they have, they are happy to order in styles for you to come back and take a look at. It's just so rare anymore to see a store and staff that has such great customer care, product and knowledge, but Daniel's shoes has had it every time I visit them. I'll recommend them every time! Thanks Daniel Shoes for making our shoe shopping experience with an active toddler a great one!
Since I don't live in the Oklahoma City area, this review is more for the Metro Shoe Warehouse online store at http://www.metroshoewarehouse.com but I did get a chance to speak with some of the customer service reps who do work at one of the Oklahoma stores, and they were great. I was really pleased with my online experience; they had a really large selection of current styles and the prices were decent. I had a question about a particular shoe and when I called their customer service staff was courteous and knowledgable. I've shopped at sites like Zappos before, but I really like knowing that this is a local business. I'll be back again.
