I haven't been to Zio's in many years, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I attended my company's holiday party tonight. the first thing that pissed me off is that you have to pay $5 to park in THEIR parkinglot to go in andeat THEIR food. Our reservation was for 6:00pm, and when I showed up at 6:10, I met the rest of our group crowded by the door, still waiting for our section to be set up. When we were finally seated, there were 2 servers assigned to our group of 40. Fantastic. Needless to say, things moved slowly.
Then came the food. I ordered a simple salad with italian dressing to start off with. the lettuce was cut in pieces so large and clumped that you couldn't eat it without getting food all over your face, and the dressing was the worst I've ever had. No flavor at all...I would hardly call it italian. It was basically just oil on flavorless iceberg lettuce. I couldn't even eat it. Kraft dressing and bagged salad from walmart would have been sooooo much better.
Then came the entree. I ordered the cheese ravioli with tomato sauce, which was stated on the menu to be "cheese stuffed pasta on a bed of linguini." I got the bowl and there were five pieces of bite-sized ravioli, obviously from a box and not fresh made, with NO linguini. My "entree" was five bites worth of disappointment. I went home hungry and had to make myself a sandwich. I was very glad I wasn't the one who had to pay $2 per bite for the bland, terrible food. I will definitely never go back.
