        The Department of Pathology of The Board of Regents of the University of Oklahoma offers a range of degree programs to more than 2,500 medical students and health professionals. It provides programs in human illnesses, pathology, and physical and occupational therapies. The department sponsors student electives in clinical microbiology and anatomic, pediatric and forensic pathology. The Department of Pathology s applied principles of pathology is a survey course. It also administers summer fellowship, special education and nurse practitioner programs. The department conducts residency training sessions in autopsy, cytopathology, hematology, toxicology, clinical chemistry and virology. The Department of Pathology offers a range of laboratory services and operates Alzheimer's and veterinary divisions.
