The Body Shop Massage Therapy

I have been receiving massages at The Body Shop for 5 years and have found them to be a very professional business for a great price. I, too, purchased several groupons. Since the coupon clearly said one per customer, I gave the others to friends. I called, made the appointment (with a new therapist because the one I had been using had left), got in immediately, and had a great massage. I did notice on the groupon page that they sold 2400 groupons. If you figure that out, over a 6 month period (the length of the groupons) that is over 400 per month. I knew they were going to be busy. So I purposely did not wait until the last minute to redeem my groupon. Why would anyone wait until the last day, then complain they couldn't get them in - when you had 6 months to make an appointment. I highly recommend The Body Shop.

The Body Shop will be under new management on Oct. 1, 2011. The Groupon experience nearly buried this business. We are well aware of the discontent over the Groupons that were sold, but expired on Sept. 15, 2011. We will develop very creative ways to help customers redeem at least some portion of the value of those Groupons. But, as new owners, we are under no obligation to honor any Groupon, but we will strive to provide a very meaningful experience, and help restore confidence in this business and offer discounts for the next few months. The Body Shop has had an excellent record for many years, and this Groupon experience has been very unfortunate for the previous owner/management. So we appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain an A+ rating.

Haven't gotten a massage here. I had a groupon that expires today actually, but their appts were booked up since at least 2 weeks ago and the only thing they are offering is $10 off of two massages. It's not my fault that they have had no spots to schedule. I don't think 2 weeks ahead is unreasonable to try to schedule. If anything they should allow scheduling through the 15th since they cannot accommodate all of us who purchased their groupon. Too bad that I will not give them any business and will tell my friends and family to do likewise. Shame on them!

Groupon Scam!



I purchased 2 Groupons for hour long sessions for myself and my wife. After calling for the past month, I finally received a phone call this morning from the "owner."



He stated they were booked up past the deadline. He said they would honor each Groupon with 2 separate $10 credits to be used on 2 separate occasions.



I explained to him that I understand they were extremely busy due to the Groupon promotion, and that I'd be fine with the original Groupon at a later date, but to change what I purchased to credits where I would have to pay more money after ignoring months of phone calls and voice messages was not acceptable.



My review is only of their business practices and speaks nothing of the actual establishment or the quality of their workers. It may be a fine place, but they will not get my business, and I would recommend others look elsewhere.



The owner's answer to my issue was that he didn't care and that I should take it up with Groupon.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!



My husband and I received a Groupon as a gift. I told them this when I made the appt as we had previously bought a Groupon for ourselves and used it. They called the morning of the appt. and left a message that they were refusing the Groupon because we'd already used a Groupon.



I called back and had to leave a message to tell them I was contacting Groupon Headquarters about this and they have not responded.



They were also rude the last time we were there and my massage was supposed to be for one hour but the massage was barely 45 min.

I have been a client here for several years, I have never had a bad experience, in fact I have recommended this place to so many of my friends and family I have to compete for appts! My favorite therapist Sarah is no longer there, but I have seen several other therapists and so have friends and family and we love them all, the prices are great, and the people are wonderful and very professional!

This place was great. My husband and I decided to get a spur of the moment massage and I saw online the body shop had 1hr massages for $40 so we decided to try it out. I had a great deep tissue massage from Trisha (definitely recommend) and my husband had a deep tissue from J-Lo (he recommends her as well). We are both very pleased with our very relaxing messages. (MILITARY GETS A DISCOUNT)

Very professional massage clinic. This was the most AWESOME experience for the both of us. Nothing weird just a great massage. Highly recommend this clinic. The price is right as well can not beat it anywhere in the city, that I know of. :~}
