When I was fostering I hired Phillip Owens. I told him many times the games DHS was playing because I wanted him to know what he was up against so he knew how serious it was, he just kept smiling & then looked at my husband & said ‘is she always like that’ & laughed. Within the first 2 minutes I knew we’d lose because he was so unprepared. We did lose & when we left the hearing he said ‘Wow, I’ve never seen them go after a client like that before’. Thanks Phil, if I could give zero stars I would. I could not care less that he sued for the money we still owed on the case he did nothing on. I even paid the balance in full WEEKS BEFORE the court date. Once a foster child has been with you for a while they become your own. When they leave it is the equivalent of having a child die and times that now by two (I had 2 beautiful girls). I have been mourning my loss ever since, it is horribly painful to talk about and that is why it took me so long to leave a review. USE ANYONE ELSE!
