I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. Dr. Traylor is great at what he does. I take my birds to him small to large and my dogs and always well taken care of. We are very happy with the Staff at North Penn Veterinary Hospital. I recommend them to all my friends, especially the bird community.

I took my dog in for an exam at North Penn Veterinary Hospital on Thursday. The doctor literally looked at my dog for less than two minutes. I was charged $45 for an office call / exam in which he squeezed the small lump on my dog's chest. That is it. He barely touched my dog. He said that she had to have surgery. That afternoon I was told by their office that my dog needed two immunizations before they could do the sugery. I was quoted a cost of $62.50 for two shots. I took my dog to another vet who charged only $37 for the shots. Not only did my dog get her shots, but the vet who gave them to her checked her teeth, ears, eyes, and other things without additional costs. I called and spoke with the vet at North Penn afterwards expressing my concerns with his lack of service, and to request a refund. He yelled at me and then hung up the phone. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET! You are better off going ANYWHERE else. I also discovered that the surgery he suggested was unnecessary.

Great place to board your animals if you want them to be left in a dirty cage all day.

The care your pet receives depends on who is working that day. I've taken a pet in for a check up and a lady was examining her and she did a great job. Two other pets of mine have been seen by the guy and he is worthless. The whole reason I took my cat in was because he was vomiting and the guy never even addressed the issue until I asked him as he was walking out the door. All I got was an answer I could have googled myself, which could have saved me an office visit and payment. Then I took my senior dog in when she had a nasty open wound and the guy never even touched her. His only answer was to give her antibiotics until we decide to put her down. I was left to stop somewhere else so that I could buy something to bandage her up myself. They are cheaper than other places, but you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay a few extra bucks and know that my pets are being well cared for.

Help at all hours of the Night

We called because we thought our dog had a serious problem. They were extremely nice and helpful in reassuring us that everything was okay and gave us the information that we needed. They are good to call day or night for sometimes not-so-emergency situations.
