I do not work for Maxey Homes, but I have bought a home from them in the past and my great uncle was in the manufactured home business. Let me first say that many people who purchase a manufactured home do not understand that it is a HOUSE, even though it may have wheels. The more you add to a home the more expensive it will be, the same holds true to a custom built home. If you change light fixtures, it costs more. Also, financing is slightly different for a manufactured home, the interest rate is usually slightly higher, but it is still a home. You can't walk in with a 400 credit score and think you can buy a $100,000 and have a payment of $300 per month with no money down.
I love my home from Maxey's, it isn't my main house, it is a lake house. I take care of it and it shows little sign of wear. Overall, I'm a very happy customer.
