As someone that grew up in the Mid-Del area, I was raised eating Chinese food from Mandarin, a little family-owned restuarant on S.E. 44th. Over the years however, the quality of Mandarin's food has seemed to wane; everything all of a sudden seemed very greasy, and everything was coming with less meats and vegetables. Long Zhu, which as been open around six months (as of 4/08) is just the opposite. Their food is made to order from scratch (which unlike most Chinese restaurants nowadays means processed stuff heated up in a wok); when you order fried rice with beef or pork, there's actually big pieces of beef or pork in it. The egg rolls are homemade. Everything is served hot. There's a ton of a variety, and you get large portions of everything. And to top it all off, the prices are very reasonable. The only drawback that I've encourted thus far is that as yet, they only take cash. Since I never carry cash, this is often an issue for me. Otherwise, it's fantastic, and if you're ever in the Del City area, or just really want quality Chinese food, and I highly recommend it!
