Had 2 surgeries here this week (one Mon and one Wed). They were scheduled that way because I didn't want to wait 6 weeks between them. Every one I have met and who has assisted me since I have been here has been great. My fave part is the bait paws gowns that they hook up to keep you warm! Definitely recommending to all my friends.
Two years ago I had to find a gynecologist due to abnormal periods, a friend recommended lakeside, so I called in for an appointment and was given dr. Nancy Bishop. When I went in, the receptionist was nice, but once I met the doc I wasn't impress, she was very cold and impersonal, felt like I was being examined by a robot. I had to go back in 6 months later for another pap, I had other concerns that I had questions about was told I had to set another appointment for that issue, once I did, I was just told "oh this is just your new cycle and your weight has something to do with it". She would not run any test. Another 6 month same thing. I was tired of going back to her but since it was close to work and I really needed to find out what was going on I gave her another chance. I felt that since I am over weight she did not treat me like a patient but as a no body. I went in because I had been 26 days late and I wasn't pregnant and I wanted to know why. I went in and wrote on the piece of paper for the reason for my visit, wanted ovaries checked for cyst, psoc, uti, and so forth. He nurse comes in, I tell her the same thing, I am automatically given a pregnancy test.. I knew I wasn't pregnant. I came in to be examined. Once the doc came in she was in the room for 3 mins no examination I was once again told this is your new cycle and my weight again. I had to demand an ultra sound to have my ovaries checked out. She did nothing. If you are overweight, do not go to her, you will not be treated like a human. I was soo ticked off I really wanted to knock her out. I waited 7 months to write a review but I will never step foot in that office. I have pcos, but she never took the time to find out. I would give zero stars if it would allow me to.
I wish I had looked for reviews before going to this hospital. The billing dept. is impossible! We were told that we would have to sign and pay up front ahead of time for our delevery and hospital use. They made us feel like we had to take care of paying everything ahead of time so we did. All of it!!! Then when the bills started coming in they told us that it would all be taken care of after the birth when they submitted everything to our insurance. This was obviously a lie, because after the birth we were still getting bills and they told us that we should have waited to pay. Highly frusterating since they told us otherwise. They admitted fault but thats where it stopped, they did not take any responsibility. The Dr. was very nice and so were the nurses. I am not sure how they got such a horrible billing dept. other than the fact that the woman you are supposed to speak with is never there. I would not recommend anyone go to this hospital, in my oppinion they have caused way more stress than they were worth.
