The other "reviewers" of this business apparently have never written a review, as they were full of emotion and lacking any real USEFUL content. So here it goes:
As far as availability of appointments, I was very impressed by their willingness to find an appointment for my very busy/needy schedule. We had an insurance issue that prevented us from being seen several months ago and I will say that I did NOT appreciate the amount of calls that I received from their corporate office asking if I would like to re-schedule. They finally stopped when I expressed my annoyance and that I would call them if I wanted to make an appointment. Onwards to the actual appointment. Wait time was average for a modern day medical/dentist appointment. I believe we waited about 20 minutes? They have a cute play area and jungle gym type structure in the waiting area so I wasn't trying to keep my kids busy while we waited. All pediatric care providers should have this! The receptionist was knowledgeable about my insurance, polite, and very helpful. The hygienist was VERY good with my 5 year old (who had a traumatic experience with another dental facility!) she was able to gain her trust and perform all the necessary tasks for cleaning her teeth (even the fluoride treatment! Which she was very scared of for some reason!) She explained everything that she was doing and demonstrated what she could so that my daughter knew what to expect. All the hygienists that walked by seemed to realize how scared she was and they all offered some sort of comfort to ease her anxiety. Which is a small gesture to many but a HUGE comfort to a scared child. I found that the facility was clean and orderly and I noticed how well they disinfected everything after each patient. The dentist was friendly, quick and thorough. I noticed that while she pointed out she was going to put a mirror in her mouth she hid the sharp tool from my daughter's sight and only brought it out once her mouth was wide open and she realized that the mirror was okay. My kiddo had no idea that the tool she was most scared of was in her mouth already...tricky! But super genius!! Haha! The only complaint I have is that I wished she would have explained her findings a bit more. I had to call the office afterwards and ask a few additional questions that I realized hadn't been answered. But the woman who answered the phone was very helpful and explained everything to me with much patience and understanding. I certainly recommend this PEDIATRIC dentist.
Do not make the mistake I did going to this place as an adult. I went there to have a denture made. When the second denture they had the dental assistant try to size denture. Mistake! I requested a refund of money and it took over three months for this company to accomplish this.
Office manager did not return call, and evan avoided conversations with me and Evan told out and out lies.
When I would have an appointment I several times had to wait over an hour. They have this annoying service that call you over and over after you have confirmed your appointment, Evan on Sunday's.
Check Kool Smiles out before wasting your time there.
I'm responding to the person who spoke about their child having autism...I didn't see anywhere where it said that they specialze in children who have autism. This is a big load for a dentist to try to carry and you should know this just from being a parent of a child with autism....I'm really sorry that you had to traumize your child but that my parent is on you for bringing your child to someone who has no experience in this field. You are not right for bringing your problems to this site and complaining and trying to put a whoo-doo on a dentist who really tries...shame on you sister,mister...
This place is AWFUL! Ghetto and unorganized to say the least. I took my two young children there because I thougt it would be a fun place, but no. The two dentists there didnt know who was who, 3 out of 4 people they thought they already examed, but hadnt been yet. We were all sitting the the chairs looking at each other and the dentist thought we were all done. How does that happen? Nobody said a word until I let my 2 year old have run of the place, i couldnt hold her still anymore, then a hygenist FINALLY got the dentists. The front desk also forgot to give my ID and insurance cards back! I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! OH, and the dentist DID NOT even tell me ONE THING about the exam...NOTHING!
Just trust me, do NOT take your kids to this dentist. everything these people told us was the exact opposite once we went to the first appointment; they did NOTHING of what they said they were going to do, everything was the opposite. Particularly if you have a child with severe or moderate autism, do not take them here. Don't say I didn't warn you.
