Compassionate? Yes. Empathetic? Yes. Business? Yes. Perfect? Of course not...
I have a newly found respect for clinics who deal with such large volumes of patients...funny, as a patient and/or as the guardian of my grandchild as the patient, I look back over how impatient I have been. Thank God they were respectful to me and mine even when I was otherwise aloof, flippant or in tears...
I would like to thank the entire Great Plains Staff...Dr Coyner, Cheryl and the many names I did not take the time to notice...from the phone, check in, paperwork (or lack of), nurses, tech there in the lab, those that cleanup after our messes and all those behind the scene...God bless you one and all!
althuogh i agree that it must have been fusterating that you have been through all that with your child and i am very sorry but my children are also patients there and i disagree with you completly although they are health care providers they are also human and i highly doubt that it was personal in any way and childrens illnesess can come on fast and hard and it at the time it may have been only a cold. i hope that things get better for you in the future
The waiting time was ridiculously wrong & my child was misdiagnosed several times. I was told time & time again that my baby had a cold & it just needed to run it's course...After 3 returns to the dr. & many weeks later, I finally took my 3 month old to another doctor & was told he had a bronchial infection & a raging ear infection. He got repeated ear infections & finally had to get tubes at 20 months. I feel the treatment he DID NOT get at Great Plains helped in leading up to the surgery.
Dr. Clemenson was extremely condescending & argumentative- he raised his voice at me & repeatedly interrupted me when I spoke, telling me over & over that there was nothing they could do to treat my son.
To add insult to injury, my son had a well-baby check up scheduled with Dr. Clemenson that I forgot to cancel- they sent me ONE bill for $20.00; a short time later, turned me over to a collections agency for $206.00! I believe that they take advantage of the fact that the majority of their clients are not privately insured, so they tend to have fewer options available to them.
I would definitely NOT recommend this practice, and especially Dr. Neal Clemenson to ANYONE! This clinic left a terrible taste in my mouth, even after taking my child to this practice for the first 4 months of my childs' life.
These doctor's are very thourough and will take care of all your needs. They work exceptionally well with children, and take pride in their office and the skills they have learned to be a great doctor. They have a heart and a willingness to provide the best possible care for you or a loved one. Awesome Job Great Plains, thanks for taking care of my babies so well.
