We found a dress 3 weeks ago that was perfect. The lady helping us was not happy because it was only $99. When we checked out the cashier called alterations to get an estimate of the cost. They advised $40 for the top & $65 for the bottom. Today was the day we went for alterations. They got her a bra, a slip & put on the dress. She loves it even more. The lady pinning the dress thought my daughter was pregent. I told her we just had big tummies. I thought this was very rude! The lady fitted it & then presented me with a bill for $342!!! That did not even include the slip & bra which would be another $150. They tried to explain the price was reasonable. I only paid $110 for the dress why would I pay $342 for alterations. We told them to take up the shoulders and fix the hem, paid $170 & left. This made us decide any future alternations and dresses for the rest of the bridal party will be purchased elsewhere. Please take the time to look elsewhere if you are getting married!!!

David's Bridal taking advantage of brides since 1950. Be sure to be prepared to always pay more than what you are quoted for alterations. Funny how $45 turns into $255. SCAMMERS!

Today was my first time trying on wedding dresses. I made an appointment months ago. I was greeted in a rush as if I was bothering them. My consultant never went through the racks with me. She just asked what I like and for pictures from pinterest. She pulled nothing that resembled my pictures. There store was so crowded I couldn't focus and enjoy the experience. And honestly she cared more about her commission (which she greedily mentioned to me a couple times) than trying to understand me. She tried selling me a dress I couldn't try on. She tried convincing me to have my mom get a David's bridal credit card to pay for the dress. And then after hassling my bridesmaids and my mother to convince me to buy a dress she finally realized it wasn't going to happen and stormed off. No "have a nice day" "come back and try again another day" or nothing. I understand they make commission and I'm sympathetic to that, but I can't make that big of a purchase for her benefit and not mine. And they need to know that that's part of the job. It overwhelmed me and honestly her cold, pressuring approach shut me down. I may have bought something if I had felt that the consultant was actually there to help me.

We continued to browse and one of my bridesmaids pulled a dress and we got someone to get us a fitting room and that dress actually came the closest to what I was trying to communicate. And only then, when she noticed a possible sale, did she come over and start acting all sweet. You shouldn't have those kind of people on your payroll. You're smart business owners, right? Sales people like her are bad for business. Very upset that my first experience was this pathetic.

Made an appointment, showed up with my maid of honor, was told too look through dresses while we waited. We looked for about 10 minutes, a young woman finally showed up and rushed us through what we were looking for and didn't care to know much, walked us to the dressing rooms and left. I literly had to clip my MOH in the dresses myself because we had NO HELP. We ended up leaving after 15 minutes of never seeing the woman again. RIDICULOUS. I would give no stars if it would let me!

My daughter went in to Davids bridal this weekend to try on her bridesmaid dress and was told that the dress would not fit her because she was too big. Then the consultant asked the guys whose wedding it was if they could find someone thinner to be in their wedding. Unbelievable.

Wonderful experience! Ashley helped us and she did an amazing job helping my daughter find her perfect dress. Ashley took time to give advice for our upcoming outdoor wedding. She was professional and very caring. Excellent job!

Probably not again.

I went into the store with my mom without an appointment and were directed to go help ourselves to looking at the wedding dresses (really?). So we did and then found a few we wanted to take off the racks so we asked for some help and then were directed to fill out a bunch of paper work before we were given a consultant...I now will anticipate harassing phone calls, mail, and emails. Our consultant made an effort but didn't seem to really be listening to what we wanted on anything..I had to repeat myself. After trying on each dress, she put a bunch of jewelry and hair accessories on me without asking me..another sales gimmick, I felt. Then we were pressed about setting a time to come in to purchase a dress I wasn't even sure I wanted. The only thing that made the headache a worthwhile experience was the dresses...but I can still find dresses much more original elsewhere.

startes bad ended up great!

I had an appointment at 12:30

..when I got there I checked in and was told it would be just a few minutes. After looking around at dresses for 25 minutes, I was standing there with my group (all of us holding dresses) and hadn't been called. I said to my group that they had 5 minutes before I walked. An employee names Cynthia heard me and ended up taking me back. She was the absolute best consultant! She was patient and so professional! I ended up buying a dress there due to her customer service (and of course my gorgeous dress!) I strongly recommend Cynthia if you go to David's Bridal!

David's has made our day! Again. For the second time I have taken a daughter of mine to David's and had the great experience of finding just the right wedding gown without having to even go to another shop. When we couldn't meet our original appt because of a delay at the dentist, we were told to go ahead and have lunch and to come whenever we could get there. When we arrived we were served by a very nice young lady named Morgen. She very patiently brought gowns to us and gave us good advice even though we are not big spenders. She gave us 2 hours of attention and found us a bargain on the dress my daughter liked best.

I have to give this shop a 10 out of 10.

Brides who like undivided attention should consider trying to go during the week instead of Saturday when most stores are busiest. And those who would rather not have to order a dress that takes a long time in delivery might like David's a lot because there are so many gowns on the rack of all sizes to choose from.

I would never goto this place ...

I would never goto this place again if I had any other options. David's bridal has what every bride really needs- lots of locations, colors, and styles in many diferent locations. Basically, you can have your bridesmaids come fromt the four winds and show up in the same dress. However, the sales associates seem to have only a few things in mind: Bitching, Being Lazy, and Being Rude.

When I was looking for my wedding dress, i had all kinds of problems with them, but since they have every bridesmaids dress i could ever need that was an affordable price, that's what we did.

So, here I am, I need to BUY THIS DRESS. I have a style number, color, and date. I need to order it NOW for a wedding party. Can you be seen without an appointment? No. Can I make an appointment online? No. Can I reach anyone at the store which is supposed to be open for another three hours? No. Can I buy this freaking dress online? No. I have to cart a baby, toddler and preschooler up to that store so I can pray to God they will LET me order the dress without and appointment. I have decided if they won't accomodate me, I am turning the kids loose in the store with candy bars. David's Bridal, Your Employees Are The Worst!

Never Again

I went with my sister to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses. I knew from the start it was not going to be the best experience. Our appointment was at 4 but they let us stand there while they gossiped for 30 minutes. Then when Linda finally took us back to the dressing rooms she informed us we would only have time to try on 4 dresses. We had a credit card application shoved in our face in between the 3rd and fourth dress. Linda informed my sister's friend that she needed to go to McDonalds and eat a cheeseburger. She pointed to a dress that she really liked and asked to try it on and ws informed that another lady was trying on the same dress and they don't let two try on the same dress because it would cause jealousy. They don't even know each other!! When she asked to try on a tull dress she was told she already had. No - that's not true Linda, you must have been confused with the other ladies you were helping while my sister was waiting for her next dress. Why in the world does a person need to set up an appointment when the girls have to share one associate!! Trying on wedding dresses is supposed to be a fun part of planning your wedding. Within 30 minutes I got the feeling that because we came straight from work and were not dressed in our finest, the David's Bridal associates assumed we could not afford the dresses shown and were not worth their time and effort. We weren't even offered a chair! David's Bridal should not be so quick to judge!
