Canadian Valley Turf Farm

We ordered 3,000 sq ft of sod w/ Amber, we were told it’d be ready the next day by 9am. We followed up with them before sending a crew member to pickup just to make sure it was ready due to previous experiences. Amber told us it would be ready until 1:30. We send out a guy to pickup sod, he arrives @ 1:20, sod was not ready, all the while we have 3 guys at the job site waiting since 9:30am. Sod wasnt ready until 3:15. Had 1 guy at Canadian valley waiting for almost 2 hours to pick up sod. We are very disappointed, although sod quality is good.

After researching places to buy Fescue I landed at Canadian Valley Turf Farm. It actually came recommended by one of their competitors that wasn't able to provide the Fescue due to the recent rains. Anyway, made the trek up there and bought what I needed. When I got back home and laid all the rolls out I was coming up short. I knew my math was right I had 80 Sq Ft I needed covered. Two plots 4' x 10'. They cut their Sod rolls 1.5' x 6' so I got 9 rolls @ $10 a piece which should have been perfect but it turned out that the length of the rolls I bought were cut at 65" so that left me 5.25' short. I called and explained to them what happened and the receptionist told me she would let the owner know and see if she could get me a couple of rolls free for the inconvenience. Anyway, she called me back and said that he would do two rolls for $10 so I thought that was a decent offer but I did drive from Norman and thought I would get the rolls for free but oh well it was better than nothing at all. Overall, other than that it was a good experience and I would recommend using them for your Fescue needs. Just buy a few extra rolls is all I can say just to be safe and not have to make another trip. The Fescue is really nice and I am very happy with the quality!

I am a landscaping pro and have installed a good deal of sod. These folks have some of the best fescue that I have ever used. Great grass and friendly staff.

I highly recommend avoiding business with this company, unless of course you enjoy being treated in a derogatory manner by Mr. Roberts. They installed my sod as a sub for my pool builder. His crew spoke little English, and when asked to move sod from a non-irrigated area to fill in some gaps where it was needed, I was met with blank stares and excuses. My contractor had them return to the site along with Mr. Roberts. He basically told me that I did not know what I was talking about and treated me in a demeaning matter in front of his employees. He told me it was my job to tell them where I wanted it moved to as he left the job site. This left me right back at square one. I can tell you that if I was the one paying him directly, it would not happen. Don't put yourself in this position and search elsewhere for your sod needs!

first off, i did not get my Sod from CVS - arrangements were made to use another provider by our builder. However, I had some questions on the proper care of our sod and wasn't able to contact the original installer. I called Canadian Valley and was impressed by how helpful and knowledgeable they were. I was given great instruction on how to care for the new sod, deal with weeds, and when to water it. I was impressed by their willingness to help me out considering I wasn't their customer. If ever i need sod in the future, you can bet I'll be calling them.
