44 Diner

The owner of this establishment is racist, ill-mannered, and unprofessional. I contacted him on Craigslist to inquire about a camera he had for sale. After shooting an offer, he declined. I then proceeded to wish him good luck in his sale by simply saying "OK, good luck." and he replied in a horrible manner, calling me racist insults like N****. I then assumed he was some punk kid selling stolen items, so out of curiosity I Googled around and found him to be the owner of this restaurant.



Eat at your own discretion, but I wouldn't be giving my business to people who act in this manner.

After waiting what seems like an eternity for the 44 Diner to open, it finally has -- AND IT HAS BEEN WORTH THE WAIT!!!! A very well-done renovation of an old Sonic at the corner of Kelley and NE 63rd, the 44 Diner has the nicest wait staff and really great food. I am a breakfast-at-lunch lover, and their pancakes are delicious. Their club and blt sandwiches are classic and tasty. The french fries are good, but the onion rings don't appeal to me -- too much breading, which is a preference for some. Friends had the catfish and told me it was the best they have had in OKC. I haven't tried their burgers yet, but listening to diners around me who ordered them, it sounds like they will be worth trying. Oh, and best of all, the prices are very modest for the high quality you receive. I have eaten there about 20 times, and even if it weren't convenient and close to my work, I would still be a regular.

I encourage you to try it -- I know you will like it, and I want the 44 Diner to be successful for a long time!
