I moved into the newest residence opened by Into Action in Edmond 7 days ago. I was the second person in the new house and within days, convinced one of my pre-sober days friend to apply for residency and he has moved in since then. More importantly though, I am continually interested in how the organization is managed, as well as the program offered. In a nutshell, I am a REALLY happy guy and feel blessed to have been offered this opportunity. Though it is significantly different than my previous months in another sober living environment, I truly feel this move was to my advantage. And, just saying, if you are a “numbers” person, you will probably enjoy raking in the “points” for previous and current life activities, as I have. I used them to lower my rent, the first full week there. Plus, I started the savings program offered by Brian S. and the crazy guy, at this time, will match 40% of my savings. No kidding.
if you are serious about getting sober this is the place for you. full of accountability , wherever you go. we lean on each other as a whole. full of edification if you feel like your having a bad day, there is always a brother to pick you up. we strive together as a whole. however this is not a flop house the guys here are very serious about sobriety and are doing everything it take to gain all the tools to remain sober for the rest of are lives and to be successful. its a new beginning.
Moved into the house a few days ago. House is very comfortable and clean. Owner is very helpful and involved, roommates are great guys and easy to get along with. The points/phase system here is a good way to help you stay sober as well as keeping you involved with the house and AA. If you are willing to put in the effort to actually WORK the house program as well as the program of Alcoholics Anonymous then this program will definitely work for you.
