I purchased my first RV from Lewis RV in June 2010 and have been very, very pleased with the sales experience, service, and support. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the entry door to the business. They close on Sundays so their employees can attend the church of their choice. I am a Christian and I found Lewis RV to be a business that practices Christian principles, which is important to me. The second thing that I truly enjoyed was a "no hassle" price list. I do not like to haggle or have a slick, high-pressure sales person try to intimidate me into buying something I don't need or want. Ron Smith and Preston Moorad are both great salemen that are there to show you what is available and make recommendations based on their experience, but they won't pressure you. Ron Smith has retired, but Preston is there to assist you in any way possible. When my wife and I went to the office for the "closing" I thought "well, here it comes." This is going to be like some of the automobiles I have purchased. Even when the sales representative is nice and low pressure, the "closer" is the one that tries to cram a lot of extra costs down your throat. Not so in this case. The owner looked at what the availability was on our model and told us when to expect delivery from the factory. A travel insurance plan was explained to us, but no pressure was put on us to accept it. When our unit arrived, Bruce, the shop foreman, went through all the systems and explained how to use them. They allow a full hour to cover everything and you can ask and re-ask as many questions as you like. They are there to insure that you have a great purchasing experience. Not only that, they request that you call them while you are on the road if you have any questions. We carried the unit back in October for a few minor repairs and I was very pleased with the service and the cost. If I am able to upgrade in the future, I know where my first stop will be. It has been a pleasure dealing with Lewis RV and that is something you can not say about every buying experience. I wish they sold cars & trucks!
Dear "Bothered", I am sorry that you are bothered about the fact that McClains RV now has many positive reviews online. If this seems suspect, it is because we are now aware of the fact that some people like to make comments online about their experiences in doing business with a certain company. Since we had not incorporated this process into our business model before, we are doing so now…albeit the rise in reviews. Our company has been serving the community for over 50 years and we value staying current with the times. Using this medium, that is free to all, is just another way of staying up to date for the benefit of our customers and the public. As a business owner we are always looking for ways to improve. Asking for reviews from our customers allows us to be transparent and real to the world. Expect to see many more comments good, bad, or indifferent coming from our valued customers. Should we get an occasional bad review, we embrace it as another opportunity with which to improve our processes. The good comments reinforce the fact that we are meeting and or exceeding our customers expectations. Any and all reviews made by these people are in their own words, completely honest, and not manipulated. Our desire is to provide the very best service and experience to everyone. If McClain’s RV’s has done something to you personally to create distrust and/or hard feelings, please contact me, Nate McClain @ 940-498-4330. I will do my best to find a fair resolution for both of us.
I have to say that anyone looking for QUALITY work at super affordable prices needs to check these guys out. I must have called a dozen or more RV repair places within the Oklahoma Metro area and almost gave up due to the costs that were being quoted to me. All I can say is go ahead and call the big RV dealers in town with your repair needs but you will be VERY sorry if you don't at least get a quote from the Hager and Sons shop. They were less than half the price of the major repair shops and actually fixed things that the larger shops didn't even want to repair, not to mention the fact that I was back in my RV within 10 days. The other shops were backed up 3-4 weeks!!! These guys are fair and they can work on everything from your pop up camper to your $500,000 dollar 45 footer! I don't write reviews normally but it would be sad not to give these guys some credit and maybe the competition might just see that there are capable people out there that will do the work and not drain your bank account doing it! My Motorhome is back in TOP quality shape and I owe it all to Hager and Son!
