Modern Elegance is an amazing salon. It hasn't even been opened a year and puts so many other "big name" salons to shame. The employees of M.E. are upbeat and professional at all times. Everyone has a smile on their face and you can tell they love their job. I never feel like they are rushing with me. I've always been asked if I am satisfied with the services I received or if there were changes I wished to make. Not once have I felt the need to change anything. I have been with Modern Elegance since the beginning and with Amanda for even longer. These girls take pride in what they do. They don't cut corners to make a buck. I was in the salon when the last reviewer was in. I remember her specifically since she made a point to mention how she normally spends $300 to get her hair done. She also mentioned that she was very happy with the services and that she would be coming back again before her cruise. The hair was a not overly processed or bleached out looking. I thought it was very nice. The stylist she had was attentive and asked a few times if she was happy or if there was anything she would like to change. The way I see it is you cannot blame the stylist for a problem if you never said there was a problem to begin with. This lady was happy or at least acted the part very well. If she wasn't then she should have said something and given the stylist a chance to make her happy, not berate her and the salon online. I tell everyone to go to Modern Elegance. You will be sure to see me every 6-8 weeks. Like clockwork! :)
I have been to spas all over the world and Three Graces ranks among top. To get shortened services and that your "masseur only had 20 min till her next client" tells me you were probably about 30 min late getting there! Maybe you don't know proper spa etiquette... you book the time slots, if you are not there and ready to go on time...that's your fault. Other people book time slots after you..why should they have to wait while the therapist is running late on you? And no, you shouldn't get the option to omit a service due to your tardiness, those people don't get paid by the hour...they usually only make a small percentage off the services. You booked yourself time in their day only dedicated to you...so yes, you should pay for it, whether you were there to receive its entirety or not! I'm sure being upset about your shortened service influenced your distaste for the rest of the day. Not to mention, there are plenty of other exceptional massage therapists, aestheticians, and nail tecs that work there. Even if you were there early enough to start on time through unrushed services...don't discredit an entire amazing establishment that has only had exceptional reviews just because of 3 possibly bad apples.
Three of came here for my sisters birthday. This place is clean and nice inside. The lady that did my nails was horrible. I am 100% sure this lady didn't go to school for nails, and I may have been the first pedicure she had ever done. If I can, I will add pictures of my pedicure. The lady who first did my toes didn't do very good at the painting or scrubbing. I felt like she was afraid of hurting me or something. She painted way of of the lines and didn't cover my nails. After she was done I looked more closing at them and it looked like a three year old painted them. Luckily the manager was very sweet and came over and completely re-painted my toes. If was obvious she was very disappointed with how my toes looked and she was very nice and apologized. A friend of mine said the lady that did her toes was acting like she didn't know what she was doing either but that her paint was good. My sister had the professional and it was obvious she was pleased with the guy who did her pedicure. Unfortunately I will not be back because I just don't like that they wpuld put people in there to do our nails that obviously had never went to school for this kind of work. Thank you management for fixing my toes.
