He completed a three-year Family Residency at the Riverside Osteopathic Hospital/Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. While completing his residency requirements, Dr. Amann was named Chief Intern, Intern of the Year, and Chief Resident. During his Residency, he started a clinic specializing in chronic musculoskeletal injury. His training includes Pediatrics, Women's Health, Preventative Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Nutrition.

Dr. Grunander went on completed her Internship in General Surgery at UCSF in 2006, with a Fellowship in Trauma/Surgical Critical Care at Cedars-Sinai in 2009, followed by her Residency in General Surgery Harbor - UCLA in 2011. Laparoscopic Surgery
At Ogden Clinic, our surgeons are equipped to perform minimally invasive surgery with a laparoscope. Laparoscopic surgery is becoming increasingly popular in the world today thanks to its many benefits including shorter hospital stays, less internal trauma and scarring, faster recovery, diminished post-operative discomfort, and better cosmetic results. Only a few small incisions are necessary for these surgeries. Our surgeons will guide a slender tube with a built-in laparoscopic camera into the affected site. They use thin, responsive instruments to perform the operation with incredible precision. Your Ogden Clinic surgeon views the entire procedure through a video screen while maneuvering the camera.
Moles
Family physicians can identify skin abnormalities and perform a removal and biopsy, if needed. The entire mole or lesion may be removed, or your physician may only remove a sample for examination.
Dermabrasion
Skin redness, or rosacea, often begins on the cheeks and spreads to the nose and the rest of the face and neck. Treatment for this chronic skin disease can lessen the symptoms and curb breakouts. Treatments may include topical medication, emollients, V-Beam Perfecta® laser therapy, dermabrasion, and oral drugs like antibiotics. Our dermatologists can also help you learn what triggers your rosacea.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends annual mole checks and skin cancer screenings to detect various types of growths that could be malignant (cancerous). With early detection, skin cancer is very treatable. The different types of skin cancer include actinic keratoses, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. The most common and most deadly type of skin cancer is melanoma.

Â€‹Dr. Chad Tingey is a Fellowship-trained skin cancer and reconstructive surgeon and Dermatologist. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Dr. Tingey moved to Utah to attend BYU. Upon completion of his undergraduate work, he went on to Dartmouth Medical School where he graduated with Honors. He recently completed his Dermatology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and an ACGME Procedural Dermatology Fellowship in Mohs and laser surgery at Scripps in San Diego. With the Mohs technique, Dr. Tingey is able to see beyond the visible disease to accurately remove the cancer, layer by layer, and leave the surrounding healthy tissue unharmed. As the most exact and precise method of skin cancer removal, Mohs surgery minimizes the chance of re-growth and lessens the potential for scarring or disfigurement. Dr. Tingey also uses laser surgery as an effective treatment for broken blood vessels, rosacea, sun damage, wrinkles, acne scars, as well as many other skin conditions. Dr. Tingey enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, playing racquetball, biking and hiking, reading and exploring Utah’s wilderness. Dr. Tingey is also fluent in Spanish.
