I worked for this company as an independent contractor and was treated as an employee, I resive orders from the district manager on how to do the job, when to do the job. Also I was blamed and according to the native company responsible for everything including things that where out of my control or even my knowledge like late deliveries. And also don't belive it when the district manager tells you, you will be making lots of money here is the trick line "this store sells 8,000 minimum per week" that is true you will be selling 8,000 but ask how much will you get paid only 425.00 the whole week and the more you sell for them the less you get paid like if you sell 9,500 and sell 9,800 you will only get paid out of 9,500 so the the 300 extra is like if you never sell that amount they keep those 300 for them and if you sell 9,000 you get 585.00 and for selling 10,000 you get paid 591.25 thats only 6.25 for selling 500 for them the whole week. You only get paid for every 500 that you sell and there is no percentage is just what ever, onece you reach the 10,000 in sales you will get paid for every 1,000 you sell part of your obligations is to make the flowers look fresh, you can't throw away more that 15 bouquets that's 5 roses, 5 mixe bouquet and 5 growers bunch oh and you can forget of throwing any vases you have to redo the vase so you will be doing a florist job, a managers job, a sales person job, secreatary job. You will also endup paying for their taxes. And if you want a day off you have to pay an employee. Also you are obligated to ensure them so you will pay for their endurance. The list is endless, you have to be at costco by 7 a.m, 5 a.m on major holidays, and dint forget if you are not selling you are not getting paid so you will be there 7a.m or 5a.m for free and on holidays you have to stay till closing that's over 12 hrs for like 3 days, because you have display settings, you have to change waters every morning do and send inventory. And fix their mistakes so the members or costco manager yells at you for something you didn't do wrong
