Very modern facility and nice people. I'm happy with treatment for my German Shepherd Ginger. Coach Mitchell

I just adopted a new puppy from the human society and they gave me free services at the mission animal and bird hospital. After looking at there reviews that where terrible !!! I did not want to take him there but I did anyway wanted to see for myself what was going on. A soon as I arrived they where very friendly was early for my appointment no problem they took me in right away Dr. Dvorchak came in right away didn't have to wait long. She was very friendly and answered all my questions. She gave me a treatment plan for my puppy that was very detailed and FREE !!! then came in a nurse Melanie she also very friendly and gave my puppy all the shots he needed again for FREE and didn't try to sell me anything else. Was very impressed with the service and hospitality. Glad I went !! Erika C

It saddens me to write a negative review.

I was there during the hospitals opening, I referred family and friends to Dr Bob, I supported their events, I referred volunteers. I have been a loyal customer for over 4 yrs. The office manager shows me her appreciation for my business by charging me twice and actually believing its okay to bring your animal in twice for the same procedure due to the fact that it wasn't done correctly the first time.

I am now leaving MABH and going down the street to another hospital.

The problem I have his double billing me, making my sensitive dog come twice in one week for the SAME SERVICE THAT I FEEL WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY. Why would my dog have to come back a week later for same procedure? And the office manager feels it was ok to charge me twice!!! No other business that I know of makes an error and then charges you twice. I would not tolerate that work ethic from any business so I am no longer going to be a customer of MABH.

I have no problem with the doctors that have helped my LadyBella with her anxiety when it's time for her annuals or medical issues.

I do have a problem with an office management that thinks it's ok to speak for an animal owner and over charge loyal customers.

Dr. Bob needs to know how I feel and her is my goodbye.

in a negative way and

Not so helpful. I just tried to get an idea if they could help with my issue for my pet and even though I was quite detailed they would answer nothing and just kept telling me to bring them in for an examination before telling me if they even could do anything for my pet. Clearly only profit driven.

This place is very large, well staffed, and clean. Friendly and familiar staff. Their procedures are very pet and human friendly. I am expecting to pay a little more than at my old vet, but, I am changing because my old vet provided wrong information and here it was clarified my dog did not need to be on medication for life. (Vet wanted to put dog on Thyroid medicine for life based on one T4 test, but it took very little research to know the right response is a thyroid panel and sure enough their is no actual thyroid condition, just one slightly out of range test. I want great care for my animals so I moved all my records here.

What a very professional setti...

What a very professional setting! Lots of qualified people that really care about dogs!

I won't be back.

I won't return to this facility. The vet didn't seem to like animals, did not relate to my pet at all, or to me for that matter. Then, the back log at the front desk was so long that it took over 20 minutes to get out of there. Ugh.

Voted Most Compassionate!

These people really care! We scraped together the exam fee & brought in 1 of 6 cats because the cat we redeemed from the shelter turned out to be sick and infected all our other cats. Our fault -- we took him there in the first place. The illness caused our pregnant cat to abort 2 weeks early and the whole litter died. These people saw us twice because the pregnant cat we brought in began dropping her litter upon arrival. They rushed her in and stabilized her during delivery and tried to save the first born. They didn't even charge us and they were busy that day. A few days later we brought our cat in again. We couldn't afford more than the exam fee so they helped us out with the amoxicillin by writing the prescription so we could go get it cheaper elsewhere. Other places would not have been this compassionate. They really care about the animals and the struggles some people have trying to take proper care of their pets. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
