I purchased a Hyundai Elantra 2002 Manual. Took it to the owner, Sam. Tell him my clutch isn't working correctly. It wouldn't ketch. He charges me $500 for a new clutch kit. I pick it up the next day. Works okay for about 2 hours and then the same issue happens. Took it back to him, he did a little tightening with a wrench and sends me on my way. I've been driving a manual for about 5 years. I know what it should and shouldn't feel like when I shift. I took it to two other shops and they told me he didn't replace it at all. He just did a quick fix. When I went to pay him with my debit card. He wouldn't allow it. He said only cash. This is my first time going to any sort of auto body shop to get something fixed or replaced. I was dumb and didn't get a receipt or warranty.
Bottom line, I got screwed by the owner of this shop. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and I have reported it to the BBB. I guess now I know you can't trust mechanics. And to always get everything in writing.
Worst shop ever. Horrible ethics. People like this should not be in business.
