You want authentic Mexican food, not "border food" like bean burritos or grain appended tacos? This is quality restaurant to visit. Featuring cuisine from the several states in Mexico, including Mariscos from Baja and Vera Cruz, beef from the rich ranges to the delicious and different tastes from Quaxca. It is all good. The service is unlike most these days, it is personal, genuine and professional....the aesthetics are pleasing and in the styles of "Old Mexico"....you are always met with a warm "bien venididos" or welcome. We live nearby and visit often.

The place has just re-opened in March of 2009, with a new owner and a new Mediterranean menu that includes seafood entrees and a very wide selection of appetizers. I had the salmon, and my husband ordered the filet mignon, and each of us enjoyed our dishes tremendously. The salmon was fresh and my husband said he could tell that the filet mignon was top quality. They also have an excellent bartender, and I was very happy that the server was very freindly. I would definitely recommend eating there to everyone. Stacy M.
Wow what a nice restaurant,I noticed the Carlsbad restaurant is doing some upgrades to the inside, and it kind of looks like the new one in Oceanside.Anyway the food at this old grove location is just as fresh and great tasting as I expected,Its great that familt members still work there, and greet you when you walk in the door.If I want Mexican food I know Pollos Maria will deliver, its the best and the place is so clean.Everyone in my office frequents this establishment.Keep up the good work!
