My favorite dentist! Love Dr. Amy and her staff!!

Was quoted a charge of $98 for Maintenance, scheduled for 1/19/18. Had to cancel. Went back 2/9/18 was told charge is now $105 , but would be $31 with a discount program that they accept. Scheduled for 2/12/12. Was then told charge wouldBe $65 plus $25 for irrigation. Note I paid $99 for the discount card that they recommended. No apology for the increase and was asked if I want it or not and if I did sign forIt. Which I did. A different hygienist from who I had originally had me sit in the chair and then went over what she had on her schedule for me, included X-rays and review with the dentist. Told her I was in for just maintenance and irrigation. Asked if I had insurance, told her. I had the program that they recommend. She left and came back with another woman who told me I had not had X-rays since 2106 and that they are needed 4 times a year. Told her I did not want X-rays. She told me I had to have the X-rays and I have no choice since I am in a doctors office and have to do what she tells me. I explained the whole scenario to her again . She said again I needed the X-rays. Offered to delete the $25 charge for irrigation, after I was told that I had to have it by the front desk person, and the new charge would be $102 v/s the original total charge of $90.. before I went into the room with the hygienist I mentioned the increase in charges to the front desk person and was told that "I misunderstood her" , no apology for giving me an incorrect guote and not disclosing additional charges to me upfront. After trying to explain again to the person Who told me that I had to have X-rays she finally said I am not a good match for them and literally ripped the blue bib off me and while I removed the chain that held it on. While I was leaving I told the person who gave me an incorrect and incomplete quote that she lied to me. I cannot not believe that I was told that I could not refuse to have X-rays , that I was in a doctors office and had to do something that I disagreed with. Except for the person who is at the main desk and the person who said that I had to do what they said and tore to blue bib off of me I do not have any complaints about this dental office. Judge this comment for your self. Just hope that they do not process the charge of $90 that I signed for.

I could not be happier with my experience with Dr. Amy and her staff. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable helpful. Attended to all my little requests. I had claustrophobic problems in the past even doing simple procedures. She did a new crown, filling, cleaning and absolutely no problems. Clean modern waiting area and individual rooms. No long waits, courtesy call day before. Looked me in the eye to ask questions and listened to my answers. Again could not more highly recommend Dr Amy at Canopy Oak. (If you like your dentist to seat you in an area, not a room, with 2 or 3 other patients that dentists juggles, then Dr Amy is not for you.) She gave me all of her attn, which made for shorter visits.

After two and a half years without a dentist I needed basic treatment. Then an old crown cracked and broke off. I have one filling, a new crown, deep cleaning with x-rays of course. Everything was done courteously professionally and friendly. I've had clostrophobic issues in the past which kept me away from dentistry. I explained that on my first visit and they are always very sensitive and patient with me. I don't fear my dentist anymore. Thank you Dr Amy. Her staff is wonderful too.

pitiful, incompetent, laughable if she wasn't so bad! Other dentist laugh at her advice, she caused me many months of anguish and huge expense due to over drilling, temp caps falling out permanent caps coming off, fillings so over drilled that after they fell out needed root canals. She should find another profession, and they over billed ins.
