Advenir At Stonelake Apartments

I have lived here for almost an entire year. First off, the show apartment is NOTHING like the apartment I was assigned too. The kitchen counters are cut up, the paint was so cheap, if my three year old got anything on it, the sponge or magic eraser would mark it up even more! They even painted over the light switch face plates! Who is too lazy to take off two small screws!? Not to mention the carpets! They said I got 'new' carpeting, but it was already stained and poorly put in. They say they also spray for bugs, which I have never seen outside. I asked them to spray the inside of my apartment, which I suppose they did, but that did not help the problem! And I am a veryyyy clean person!! If all that wasn't enough, I was assigned to an apartment directly next to the pool. Most people would consider that a plus, but seeing as how no one in the complex understands the "quiet time after 10 pm" rule, it has on many occasions kept my son up way later than he should be because of people partying it up at the pool. Even if I have asked them to keep it down, no one ever listens, even called the cops a few times. Seeing as how Advenir is so close to Steeplechase, there are always people roaming around the complex, digging through the dumpsters, jumping the gate to get into the pool, even ASKING FOR MY KEY TO EVEN GET IN THE POOL! As soon as my lease is up, I am moving out and never looking back! I have even considered paying the last two months rent off so I can go ahead and get out of here!! UPDATE: My Smoke alarm went off on my lunch break, I touched it and ROACHES came pouring out. They are also behind my fridge, oven, picture frames, in my food and ALL over. When I brought this up to management, They explained that the apartment next to me had an infestation, but could not inform me prior to it! So now all the bugs have ran to my apartment!!!!!! They told me it would take about 6 weeks to clear them out and now I have to live in bugs because they didn't notify me when they sprayed the other apartments!! All they could offer me was to take a payment arrangement as July is my last month of my lease! I think they should just void it, but apparently this isn't their problem! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!

Where do I even start about this trash hole? To start off everything about the inside of the apartment is very cheaply made. The cabinets are falling apart, the walls have such cheap paint on them that even the slightest touch leaves a finger print, and don’t even try and wipe it off because the print will just spread into a big ugly blotch. The carpets were falling apart and Id have to clean up the clumps of carpet everywhere. The first two months I lived there my old upstairs neighbor (who moved out) decided to store their smelly trash on their balcony and it would waft into my apartment so I had to keep my sliding doors closed. Its obvious that management allowed that and Im sure it would have continued festering if they didn’t move out. The person who moved in right after them would always make so much noise, blast his music and be very inconsiderate. The walls are paper thin, I could sometimes even hear him talking. One morning at 4:00am I had the cops beating on my door asking if I know anything about my neighbor threatening to kill himself and his girlfriend and they asked me if I heard gunshots…so Im feeling pretty uneasy at this point. THEN I hear on the same day that someone was shot over a drug deal a couple of buildings down from mine. Im a young girl and I didn’t even feel safe walking up my steps alone. My neighbor also had this really loud big barking dog that myself and all surrounding apartments complained about multiple times but nothing was ever done about it. I couldn’t sleep nor could anyone else because he would let the dog sit out on his balcony and have meltdowns of crying and barking. People would also blast their music at all hours of the night, Its completely infested with stray cats, I had to get my apartment sprayed for cockroaches also and Im a very clean person. There were people outside really late begging for money from me sometimes when I got home. Oh, and when I first moved in there were these two guys who sat on my steps almost all day/night and who clearly did not live anywhere around me. They just sat there and I would have to step around them to get down. It really creeped me out. It wasn’t very comforting when someone would ask me where I live and I would tell them and almost always they would respond somehow stating about how that’s a drug filled complex. I moved to Tuscany place apartments and that was the best decision ever made. The management cares about me and my safety, everything is beautiful and clean and has an all out way better quality. All of the staff are so helpful and kind. The lady at Advenir I spoke to about all my concerns basically told me she doesn’t care about my safety and was so horribly rude and unprofessional to me that I actually paid 3 months of rent just to get out of there. I never wanted to see that place again. The only good thing I can say about Advenir is that the maintenance guys were always very kind and hard working and always made a point to ask me how my day was. They were the only part of that place that made me feel somewhat welcome. STAY AWAY FROM ADVENIR. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

This place is disgusting and poor customer service with employees aiming for money but only when it for their benefit.



I just waited outside the building 15 minutes for a pen. It was before hours but right before the place opened and an employee was right at the door but refused to get me a pen for me to write out the check. I'm already late for work and the employee can hear me saying all this to her through the door but she still refused to get up from her chair and give me a pen.



A resident came by and gave me a pen for me to write the check and deposit in the drop box. The employee ackonledged I was there but still refused to do anything about it but gave me a look as if this person should go away. Funny how facial expressions give away the employee.



I would never recommend anyone to live here. I moved out because they mis-infomed me about the apartment having them charge me their electricty onto my light bill without my consent.



Just poor management, money greedy, and poor customer service.

Don't be fooled by the "no deposit" or "free rent"...hell is easy to fall into and hard to get out.



The apartments are moldy and will cause health issues, and the management is very rude and disrespectful.



It's not worth it to live here. At first, we thought it was a blessing to live in such a (what we thought was) a beautiful place, but it's very trashy and disgusting.



All they want is your money, and they could care less about your health and well being.



They really hate pets and our dogs ended up getting sick because of their lack of lawn maintenance. And we're not the only ones.



Duck droppings, roaches, ants, and large spiders are a FEW of the issues they have.



We are DEFINITELY leaving this place ASAP, and we want people to be aware of the disgusting conditions and rude staff here at this apartment complex.
