Rainbow Service is a division of Rexair. The original idea for a bag less vacuum cleaner was created in the 1920s. John Newcombe was one of the first to invent a separator , a device that was designed to separate dust and particulates from the air. In 1929, Newcombe and his partner, Leslie Green, formed Rexair and began producing, refining and marketing the Rexair Cleaner. In 1955, an improved vacuum was marketed as the Rainbow Vacuum. In 1980, the Rainbow D3 was introduced with the first major model change in more than 20 years, adding new attachments, a power nozzle and an AquaMate feature. For more than 70 years, Rexair has been manufacturing the Rainbow Cleaning System and has millions of satisfied customers throughout the world. All Rainbows are demonstrated and sold through a network of independent authorized Rainbow distributors. Rainbow Service has a location in Oakland Park, Fla.
