Awful customer service stay away!
We called a locksmith at 11pm Sat. night to unlock our Honda, they promise they will be there within 35 Min. It took them 1.5Hr. to get to our location and they charged us way over the top for 1 min. job.

Awful customer service stay away!
Best Lockshop in Town! I needed my locks upgraded. After checking the state website for licensed locksmiths, I called Reed Brothers Security. Calling Reed Brothers was cool. They came out the same day and made a rcommendation to install "bump-proof" locks. We scheduled to install everything the next day and they showed up right on time. I highly recommend them. Never again. I have spent $3500 at Reed Bros. since taking over my business 4 years ago. The most recent time somebody came out to look at a lock, again, they became unhappy with my payment history. Apparently I owed them from 2 years ago. I offered to come by the office the next day and straighten it out in person, what time would be convenient?
This is when Randy the owner became belligerent. He would not make himself available to me any time. He was taking me to small claims court and I would pay all the fees and he would have the sheriff collect by showing up at my place of business and take money from my clients (as if they don't have better things to do). He was screaming on the two way radio his employee was holding trying to talk to talk to me. He verbally abused my staff when he called. Extremely unprofessional.
When I went to Reed Bros the next day he had calmed down. I was informed I hadn't paid a previous bill over a protective plate that was poorly produced and installed which I had called on when Randy was out of town and his Office Manager said he would call about. He said he didn't call because I don't pay. As we spoke out of "good faith" his employee was at my business trying to install this plate. It actually had been reinstalled already previously - this was the bill of contention. I took his lack of response to mean that he didn't want to pursue it. This was all truly bizarre. One day he wouldn't accept payment anymore and threatened a Sheriff visit on me, the next he was attempting to do work that was already done - no clue what work their business had and not performed.
Next we had to go over a previous documented issue we had negotiated away where work had been done and redone and I paid twice and he reimbursed the follow up visit (less than $100). But he wanted to use this as an example of where I don't pay. When we had already dealt with it previously and put it behind us. Again, just bizarre.
Then we get to the initial issue he had with me. They had made an addition error of $100 to my credit and had been trying for 2 years to collect = "monthly statements" (which his office manager? later corrected as not being true and of course I was previously accused of having my mail thrown away by my staff) and "2 pages of phone calls" attempted including contact where I said I wouldn't pay because it was their fault. Totally ridiculous. Never happened.
I paid for it all (in the $300s), including once again paying twice for work done the first time in a shoddy manner.
What I really don't understand in all of this is why if Reed Bros thought that I owed them for work done 2 years before and had multiple history of not paying their bills would they even send someone out to do any work? And if I had been stiffing them all this time, why would I even call them out again? Mind boggling.
I work in an emotional field with a lot of people that carry very strong feelings with them depending on how things are going, and I have rarely if ever dealt with someone so easily angered over such relatively insignificant events. I have had to call the police about people, usually when they had psychiatric problems - this was similar. Please stay away from this dangerous and unstable, threatening person who has access to the keys to many of our homes and businesses in Oakland.
