I was visiting San Francisco and opted to stay at Imperial Inn because it's 0.26 miles away from BART Macarthur Station. The rate was cheap, and there was no free breakfast, BUT there was many positive things about our stay that I wanted to share: The room was very clean without foul odor (I booked non-smoking), the decor and furniture were nice, each room has a mini fridge and microwave, free wifi, courtyard with water fountain, and comfortable beds. I had no trouble with the heater/ac unit, and hot water worked as expected. I didn't like the shower head, it had multiple water sprays but only one worked. No bugs or yucky surprises. For the price, it was pretty nice.

It's not a full srevice 5 star hotel, but the location was great. It has almost everything you need, from fridge, microwave, iron & board, free internet to shuttle to the airport. It's high recommended to stay in the Waterside. The view is much better. Compared to the branded hotel I always stay, this is a very competitable price with great amenities hotel. J. The hotel was OK (could use a little sprucing but not bad at all) but you definitely don't want to plan on walking to the Oakland arena. Might be OK if you were going both ways during the day and had several people. One of the cleanest hotels. The staff even cleaned the outside railings and the outside top of the air conditioning units. Never saw that before. Desk staff was great.
