I've gone twice. The first time was with a large group (10) we had great food and service. The setting is beautifull and peacefful. It is more expensive than normal "take out" Chinese food but well worth it. The second time I was with two other people - one a very difficult vegetarian to please. My guest didn't like certain vegetables that came with the tofu dishes.. The waitress asked her what were her favorite vegetables and sauce - they then made a "custom" dish for her. We left with boxes of extra food that was still good for all three of us the next day for lunch.
They offer all the Americanized Chinese food like fried rice, chow mein, cashew chicken, prawns, noodles. etc. Unlike other chinese restaurants the meats(shrimps, beef, and chicken) are huge. They're a bit pricey but the food is outstanding. The owner is very greedy, don't think about asking for a package of sweet and sour because they'll charge you five cents. Even though that part is frustrating the taste will keep you coming back.
The food is OK, but the service goes above and beyond. When I've come with my kids, they make sure to take their order first, bring them food quickly, and always surprise them at the end with lollipops! We'v even eaten here on christmas and they gave out wrapped gifts! It's a great local spot, not too oily, and pretty Americanized (in a good way).
