From the moment we walked in the door of Lorenzo’s the atmosphere, friendliness and outstanding service was beyond our expectations. As a member of the Shania Twain Band I have had the great opportunity to enjoy Italian cuisine all over the world. As well, having been raised in New York in the “old Italian neighborhood” my expectations for Italian restaurant food is significantly higher than most people. I particularly enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, the quiet and classic old time style of Lorenzo’s reminded me of many of my childhood meals in New York’s “Little Italy” neighborhood. I myself had Lasagna that was authentic and very tasty (I especially enjoyed the extra sauce they provided on the side). The serving size was remarkable, the garlic bread was abundant and served piping hot. I highly recommend the house Italian salad dressing--it was nearly as good as good as I remember my grandmother’s being--just the right touch of olive oil and spices to enhance the salad that contained not only tomatoes, but also olives, green peppers and other veggies. My dinner guest found the Manicotti equally as delicious as I found my Lasagna. There was no wait time, service was five-star and the selections and/or choices the menu provided were the best I’ve seen in any Italian restaurant in Texas. If you are looking for excellent food, great service, and very reasonable prices Lorenzo’s is your best bet. Giovanni G. Bonanno Malibu Beach, California
Good, dependable food, week in and week out. Never had a bad meal here. The Greek salad is outstanding, pasta dishes superior, soups (spinich-garlic!!) all super good. Try it; you'll be back.
Oh my word--I was a a cute little boutique just down the sidewalk and the associate said that if I didn't go to Piatti's I would be making a HUGE mistake. (I think she knew I could use a glass of Pinot!!) She was so on target--Piatti's is a charming restaurant--the cuneo salad is great--the se…
If you try nothing else in the place, you must try the desserts! Chef Dady makes the best desserts, flavorful, wonderful, and just the right size (for all of you out there watching what you eat). In fact, the portion sizes on all the dishes are just perfect. You eat what you ordered and do no…
I love this place!! we go there even if were not at the mall!!! It doesnt take long to get a table, basically walk in and get seated. The food is great, good service... and it doesnt take an hour to eat like most restaurants. Its not the ideal place for kids but its not completely terrible. I w…
I visited Dough's in 3/16/12 after seeing it on diners, drive ins, and dives w/Guy Fieri! My only complaint was waiting so long for a table but it was well worth the wait! The does and staff were amazing. I will definitely be vising again! Ask for Dustin he's the best waiter in the place;)
I travel from city to city and I found the service and food exceptional!!! I truly love this place and will always come here when I am in town. I made sure to tip well because the waitress earned it.
I discovered Hungry Howies while working at Fast Eddies and have been literally addicted ever since!! The address above is wrong they are on Bitters now in the shopping center next to the target right by the Luby's. If you do take my advice and go you have to try the ham and chesse calzone!! Th…
I am new to San Antonio, and I was thrilled to be introduced to Little Italy. The restaurant's interior reminds me of a cute little Italian restaurant I used to go to when I was growing up in Chicago. We were warmly greeted at the door, and led to a cozy booth for two. The service was excel…
I love this restaurant! The wait staff is always happy and helpful and eager to serve. The food is DELICIOUS and mouth watering! Very romantic, and very child friendly. My 3 year old daughter enjoys going there because they always give her something to do (crayons, etc.).
22. Osteria Il Sogno
Being a huge fan of andrew weissman, I had little doubts of the deliciousness of his newest restaurant. Having closed Le Reve, I, and many other San Antonians still need our fix of his prime cuisine. This new, far more casual restaurant has all the quality (and truffle oil, and speck, and fanc…
When first opened the menu had Gnocchi in a great red sauce and I took my family multiple times however it was no longer on the menu for over tear now thus we no longer have a reason to dine there. The Gnocchi was as close as we ever found to home made.
A perfect little quaint place for the entire Italian food lover like me. The smell alone inside the joint will make your mouth water. There is still so much more potential for this place though.

I went to this restaurant with my fiancee, sister & her date who were in the mood for Italian. We were not disappointed with any of our entrees. Everything I sampled (we shared) was top notch for San Antonio, which generally lacks in good Italian cuisine. My entree, a chicken dijon dish, was the…
I really liked what I ordered there. It was a crape with chicken and a creamy orangy sauce(which was tamato mixed with alfredo) and I believe there was spinach in the crape as well. Of course I have eaten enough Italian to know that I like that particular kind of dish. If you don't eat a lot of pastas and sauces I would suggest asking the waiter/waitress what they recommend from what you usually like/dislike. My husband on the other hand didnt know what he was getting and ended up getting something without a whole lot of flavor. I believe it was chicken and artichoke hearts in linguine, with olive oil as the sauce (I imagine with other herbs as well) but it was too bland for him and I had to give him some of my sauce. Definately a nice, and relatively in-exspensive place to eat. Its prices compete well with other finer places around. maybe 10-15$ a plate. I give it a big thumbs up!
I have consistently found that the best restaurants are those that are small and owned and managed by families. Piccolo's is just such a place. The atmosphere is like those places in New Orleans, New York, or San Francisco, where the whole thing is the food - making sure it is well-prepared, fresh, served quickly, and at a reasonable price. The sauces are always freshly prepared, and the fish is not "fishy." The wait staff is efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The decor is what you'd expect in a family-owned restaurant - thematic, not fancy, but with a pleasing personality. About the food. Every dish I've had there is delightful in its blend and balance of sauces, cheeses, and spices. I'm planning on having everything in the menu eventually. I would like to have a bigger choice of desserts, but that's a minor issue.
Everything was great food and service but the only thing that bothered us was that the employees that had finished their shifts sat down in the booth in front of us and ordered food and bottles of wine and they were being very loud and talking in such vulger language I was trying to have a respectable evening and romantic dinner with my husband but it was ruined. The employees had states to their friends that later joined them that they're not suppose to be drinking after work but that sometimes they get away with it.. Their should be a break room for them to go in our at least i'm an empty section poof the restaurant not bothering the paying customers
Pleasantly impressed! I went to lunch here today with a group of coworkers. We had a great time. The food was good, I didn't hear one complaint. The focaccia bread served with the meal was excellent. I had the special today which was Chicken & Eggplant Parmigiana. It was very good. The pasta was cooked perfectly aldente. The chicken was not particularly juicy alone, but any dryness was not noticeable when eaten along with the slice of eggplant served on top of the chicken cutlet. The red sauce was also good. I tasted a coworkers dish of tortellini pesto (also on special), it was good too. I will likely return to this establishment.
they seat you as quickly as they can and are honestly up front about how long the wait is. the food is incredible and i have tried everything. If you are not sure about a dish just ask and if you are not sure but have an idea of what you want they will point you in the right direction. I have even had a few thind off the menu. salad are always fresh, calamari fritti with it's sauce is wonderfull. whether it's seafood for chicken, beef you can not go wrong in the rafaello sauce. dessert you need the capaccino pie!
I went for lunch. I had the Chicken Parmesan and spaghetti. The Chicken Parmesan was just ok. I could probably buy a frozen one from HEB and be just as good. The sauce on the spaghetti was not good at all. It was like warm ketchup with a little bit of spices added to it. The server was excellent. She was polite and very attentive to us. The service is the only reason why I gave 3 stars instead of 2. The price paid does not equal the quality of the food received. I probably will not go back.
This has to be one of the BEST Italian restaurants in San Antonio. They have a wide range of menu items from shrimp, seafood, lasagana, spagetti, etc. The service and food is superb! You MUST try this place. It is one of my favorites!!! AND on Friday and Saturday nights they have live music from Jorge who sings in English, Spanish and Italian. What more can you ask for??? This is one of my favorite restaurants!!! A++++++
Whenever I have friends or family come in from out of town, I take them to eat at my favorite Italian Ristorante, Paesanos. The food is authentic, almost as if my Nana was in the cucina cooking. If I close my eyes I actually can remember what our house smelled like, fresh garlic, homemade spaghetti and meatballs, Parmesan, Provolone and Mozzerella cheeses blended to perfection. It's all there at Paesanos. Benvenuto!
MY SON AND I LOVE OLIVE GARDEN!!! GREAT FOOD, SERVICE, AND STAFF! WE ATE THERE TODAY AND MY SON LEFT HIS NINTENDO DS AND HE WAS VERY UPSET, IT WAS A VERY BUSY DAY FOR THEM AND SOMEONE HONSETLY TURNED IT IN. I WAS SHOCKED BECAUSE THERE ISNT MANY HONEST PEOPLE OUT THERE. THANK YOU TO WHO EVER DID, MY SON AND I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH. I EVEN OFFERED A REWARD AND THEY WOULDN'T EVEN EXCEPT IT, WOW, RIGHT?
