Lotus Restaurant

I used to love this place and always wondered why they always so empty I now know why, the last few times I been there its always the same thing they have horrible service, they didn't even walk us to our table they just pointed, so we sat down waited 5 to 7 minutes just to have to ask for menus her response was ohhhh I thought they were there. No apology for it, when we finally got our food we practically had to beg to get the waitress to stop back to our table for refills or anything. I have never been treated like this anywhere I would have been better off serving my self. I asked for the bill paid the bill as soon as we left she went to the table looking for her tip, and I always tip at restaurants, but when she went to the table looking for her tip there wasn't a dime. I saw her look out extremely mad about not gettin tipped. They almost expect a tip like its a standard part of a bill. But I tip by service I get. No service no tip

I have been to lotus many times because i enjoy sushi, but every time i could not ignore the rude service i received. A woman and I went in and they didn't offer us anything to drink, even after we had gotten our food! When i asked for some waters, the male waiter only gave us one with no ice or a straw. I then asked him for another water seeing as there was TWO of us there. The meal ended with us getting ONE fortune cookie. I then asked to speak to the manager and he said "you can speak with me." He responded to my complaint with, "If you want a drink, you ask me and i give." I had been there many times and they always asked what we wanted to drink. That was only the beginning of rude encounters. One female waitress always just tosses the menu at us, no matter who I am with. She often talks down to us also. The last time I went here, which ended up being my final time, the rude waitress was serving us again, and she added her tip on the check! i was sitting at a table with 3 people! she cannot do that. I asked her what was that all about and she said that since we didn't tip good enough other times, she added it on herself! I reminded her the reason why we don't tip her well, she is RUDE. We demanded that she take the gratuity off and left with out giving a tip. It was unreal to me that she was even allowed to put a tip, that she made up, on our receipts!! i called the next day and they said they will make sure she is no longer our waitress. Too bad I will not being going their anymore and neither will any of my friends or family. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

The flavor was bad, the service was bad, and to top it off they added 15% to the bill so we had no say in how bad it was. It was like they knew they were going to get the tip so they didn't even try.

Our 12 year old picked Lotus because he wanted to see the Hibachi chef on his birthday.

We walked in and told the hostess Hibachi for seating & she took us to the Chinese side. We then had to point to the Japanese side and she took us to a table. It took over 5 minutes in the not at all busy place to be asked what we wanted to drink. We had our 4 children and 2 parents. 2 dinners came out first, 5 minutes later 3 dinners, and 5 minutes after that my husband's. Yuck, Yuck, Yuck, Thai Tea down the road would have been better!!!

You couldnt find better sushi, sashimi, chinese, or japanese food in WI!!
