Love it here. Have been around horses for 35+ yrs and can honestly say that this facility is superb. My horses are very well taken care of and their individual needs are addressed. Recently, the close observation skills of the staff saved my older horse from a potentially life threatening medical situation. The trainers are great - knowledgeable and timely. They are friendly, but focus on the riders. I have never had the negative experiences of one of the posters. School horses are good for riders of all ages and levels of riding. I have observed and participated in many lessons. Riders in all disciplines are welcomed. The facility is clean and well maintained. The indoor arena is especially handy throughout our Michigan winters and rainy spring/fall days. Two outdoor arenas and lovely trails make it even nicer. Come check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Let me start by saying NHR is a top shelf facility with really great people that work there, which is really important in fostering a healthy environment for the animals and riders. We were so happy we had the opportunity to go there, it was far better than we anticipated. We had an opportunity to visit the grounds, observe the stalls, interact with the animals, and have conversations with various staff who where very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to accommodate in any way they could. With what NHR does for the community and horse enthusiasts of all kinds, I would have no issue going back and/or recommending to anyone.
I can't say enough about this barn. The management is always kind & treats your horse/ pony like it was your own. I especially love the heated wash rack ! and the heated facility for the winter * I hate the cold! * If your horse needs special hay or grain, they will accommodate anything you need. Lisa is one of the owners. she is GREAT, a hard worker and a very nice person. In the summer there are 2 very large outdoor arenas and long trails. www.northvillehorseandrec.com is the website !! i recommend!
