I've had all but one services here on my car. You are assigned a service manager, I believe by alphabet of your last name. I have to say, I originally had the best service manager and I never felt like he was trying to add anything extra or trying to find things wrong with my car and when you would go in there you felt treated pretty good for the most part and it's very organized and I liked the fact that I had my own service guy. Well he left about a 1 1/2 ago and I now have a new service manager and although he is nice, let me just say, it was a whole different experience with him. I totally felt like he was trying add stuff on and gauge me for some reason and I don't know if that's even true, but the fact that I felt that way for the first time since going there, made me feel a little resentful. I know that it's their job in the service department to make as much money as they can, but at least try and be a little slick about it...I just felt like he wasn't and I haven't been back yet, in fact I'm overdue on my service, because I just don't want to go through that again and being a woman is even worse. I know they probably are thinking, if you want to own a Mercedes, then you better expect to pay, but I'm not rich and even if I were, I don't think you should have to put out money just because. I will say, that everyone there is always very professional, very friendly and courteous, so as far as customer service goes, I would have to give them an A+. Just not sure how I feel about the service situation, but I guess that's where they make a lot of their money, so it would be a little different.
Looking to buy a car from your typical dealership has always been an unpleasant experience for me in the past and the few dealers we have visited last week were no different, until we went to Toyota of Walnut Creek I was interested in a new corolla and had filled our a form online, I received a phone call in 15 minutes. I could not make it in until the weekend and the car I had my heart set on was sold. I'm normally an online car shopper, but this was a time-sensitive situation when I quickly wanted to lease a car--remotely and not even for myself. Luckily after calling another dealership where the telesales person had "smarmy used car salesman" techniques down pat, I hung up and called Toyota of Walnut Creek. Luckily I reached Bob who was as pleasant as can be and came through with flying colors, making the entire transaction seem effortless and to my satisfaction. He went the extra mile to work around the distance barriers, working overtime, and being flexible on many fronts. Who cares if his motive was to make the sale.
