Our family was provided care for our father for seven months by Homewatch before he passed away from cancer. Their staff was very compassionate, kind, and professional. Their owner, Denise Myers, even visited with him at least once a week. She was always available and frequently called to check in to see how we were doing and give us updates. On the day the hospice informed us that he was passing, she came to his room to say goodbye also and give us all hugs. She came to his funeral along with his two caregivers. A few days later, she checked in with me and invited me to stop by her office when I was out that way. I took her up on it and was grateful for the comfort she extended. Since that time, I have heard several other families with parents in the same facility speak highly of the care they received from Homewatch. Along with us, I have noticed that several others included the agency and caregivers in their parents' obits in the Dallas newspaper. One family told me that one evening Denise sat with their aunt because the scheduled caregiver had a sick child. They told me that she was there from 9pm to 7am and did not charge them. I believe this is one of many examples of the excellent customer service and care the agency provides. If you are looking for an agency, please feel free to write me. P.S. The person who left the negative review must have had other issues because I think it is very rare that an agency would want to terminate care and there was more to it than written.
A member of my church highly recommended Denise Myers and her business, Homewatch CareGivers of North Dallas. We thought my mother needed personal care so our father could get out of the house and attend church and other outings he was missing. Not only did they provide excellent staff, but there has been no turnover since the very first day more than a year ago, in fact 16 months. One nurse aide works Monday thru Friday and another works the weekends. But the main reason I wanted to write is that recently they notified us that they were seeing our father's health declining and expressed much concern that he wasn't seeking medical help. When we got him to his doctor, turns out he had pneumonia. We can only count our blessings that our caregivers are compassionate and caring enough that they looked out for our father also. We appreciate Denise so much and her staffing manager, Tamika, is a doll and our parents love to see her when she stops by to do quality care visits. Feel free to email if you would like a first-hand recommendation. Even though her agency name has North Dallas in it, her staff can provide care anywhere in the Dallas area.
