Danley's Garage World.

I would never recommend this business for a garage .my garage was just built and there have already been so many issues .it took a month for them to respond. Cheap material.

When Dave Krecek from Danley's Garage World came to me house for an initial estimate, the first thing he did was to answer a call from his "girlfriend" which lasted about 5 minutes and consisted of every other word being f***. I really was offended by that and think he should be summarilly fired for that action alone. after the work was finally done on my garage repair, which did no comply with our verbal agreement, my mortgage lender sent me a written request for Danley to sign off that they had no lien on the property even though I had sent them a statement of "satisfaction" with the work performed.

I forwarded that request to Dave Krecek two months ago and he has refused to respond,

I strongly suggest that no one do business with this company as a result of Dave's actions and lack thereof.

Can we say SUCKS. Call with a complaint and they will be there, someday. I don't know much about the quality of lumber but if it is rated 1 to 10, this was a low 15. A 2" by 12" used in the header went from 12" to maybe 8". The entrance door frame was dropped and damaged the woodwork. I have a 2 story, barn model. The window had spaces you could stick your finger through to the outside. There is an access ladder to the second level, there were 4 screws holding it up, and not a good fit in the ceiling. As far as the wood delivery, they didn't bring enough. The expert workmen went crazy with their nail guns. When the hit a board the made sure they got it. They usually got close and split the boards. It may of been the lumber quality, which I can't say enough about,got scrap out of the alley that was better. Just to add this about there great work. The concrete is cracking. There has never been a car in my garage, I use it as a workshop and storage. The rating is 1 star, it should of been a minus 5.

We met with a few garage companies, and chose Danley based on our affinity for the sales person, as well as an expectation of high quality work. It took almost 7 months from contract signing until the demolition and new garage were finished. Danley sub-contracts almost everything (demo, concrete, brick work) except for the building of the actual garage. The sub-contractors never contacted me first to schedule their work -- I always had to initiate the contact. It would then take several weeks for each contractor to complete their portion of the job. Additionally, each contractor was only aware of their specific function -- no one at Danley provided "project management" oversight of the overall job. We were left to perform this function ourselves.



However, our biggest complaint is with the concrete sub-contractor. The garage floor is fine, but the new driveway developed a large crack only a few days after it was poured. The slab is about 280 square feet, but it was poured without any joints to alleviate pressure from settling and prevent cracks. We have made several requests to Danley to fix the concrete, but so far they have refused. The fact that Danley tacitly approves of their contractor performing the work poorly and incorrectly is the primary reason for the 1-star review.



I do not recommend Danley at all for any type of garage work.

Got a garage from them a few months ago. The sales manager, Jim, was excellent. He came by and got everything set up for me. Very pleasant. Great price. We are so much happier with our 3rd garage now. Thanks guys!

Danley's team is made up of experienced workmen who know their job and cut no corners. I'm completely happy with my new garage because I specified what I wanted and Danley's people built it just as agreed. I think it looks great and enhances the value of my property. These guys can be trusted to do it right at a low cost.

If you want a horrible quality garage and have to deal with multiple problems with an incompetent manager/owner over a 3 year period with no resolution, then go to Danleys. NOT WORTH IT. Spend a little more and you'll get so much more. Learned my lesson. Crap garage, crap people.

Danley Garage world was great to sell their business, but when it came to actually doing the work they sucked. As a home owner I had to schedule everything demo, concrete, carpenters, clean up and electrician, but sales guy won’t tell you that. Demolition and concrete crews were great, but NOT the carpenters. Showed up late on the job and left 2 hours later to go finish their previous job. The next day they came back to ask for a check before the job was even finished and insisted to get their check. When job was finished they just left although I was home. And then the clean up!! Nobody showed up for 2 days, so when I called they told me I was delayed for some reason. It took a phone cal to the owner of the company to get the clean up crew there the next day, because the secretary wasn't helpful at all. Overall I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone else; I'm totally dissatisfied with the treatment of the costumer

Danleys built our new garage in Westchester, IL. Great workers, and the garage was done in a day! I would highly recommend this company.
