NU Nails & Spa North Syracuse

I had been going here for five years and ever since the change of management the salon itself has gotten some major improvements: new pedicure chairs, a fresh coat of paint, and is very clean all the time. However the technicians seem to care less and less. I always made an appointment to get my acrylic nails filled and airbrushed and for the last year I began having to wait once I got there because the technician was not finished with ther person before me and they ran into my time. I got a job where I needed them taken off and I made an appointment, got there and sat for 30 minutes before I left and went home to do it myself. A few weeks later I was leaving for vacation and went in and paid $75 including tip for a Gel Manicue and Pedicure which is advertised in the salon to last for 14 days. I was in my third day of vacation after the service and the gel polish was flaking off. When I returned I asked for it to be taken completely off as I was unhappy about spending so much money and having it chipping off while on vacation, the sole reason I had it done in the first place. I asked for the money back for the manicure and was refused, first, I was asked why I wanted it taken off and when I pointed out the chips I was told "its only three." I'm very disappointed I thought my loyalty for the last five years meant more to them than this, I will never return nor would I recommend to anyone else!

Not a bad salon. I got service right away on a rainy Saturday. Friendly staff except for one tech...she did my fill on my nails and while doing so basically ridiculed the shape of my eyebrows...perhaps wanted more money by trying to suggest an eyebrow waxing but i do my own brows and prefer not to have pencil thin brows in the shape of a question mark. I felt awkward and uncomfortable after that part of the conversation. The tech that did my pedicure was great...very friendly and gentle and kind. The other lady along with being verbally rude was kind of rough with my nails and even cut my nail bed so that it bled. Still...i'd choose solar over diva nails any day. Wish I could go back to Vegas where I was visiting relatives on my honey moon and get my nails done again at a salon my relative frequents out there...they try to speak better English and they were so personable...wish I could have brought them back to Syracuse with me.
