I got cornrows in my hair on 4/30/09 by Atis (owner). She was very nice. She braids very very tight, so hold down your edges. Her business is clean, or at least it appears that way. I didn't see any bugs crawling on the floor, so that was nice. She speaks excellent English, but the other girl who worked in the shop did not. There are currently on two girls working there, so don't go expecting to see a lot of staff, but that is the way Atis likes it. The shop is set up for at least 8 work stations. Atis didn't ask me what color braiding hair I wanted, she only assumed that I wanted the same color as my hair. I didn't say anything about it, but usually I do get a mixed color. No big deal this time, because I wanted to see how I would look with my natural hair color. I would most likely come back to this business to get my hair done.
It was my first time getting micros and I did some research before I decided on a salon and I'm certainly glad that I did because I made a great choice. From the first phone call to set up my appointment to the arriving at the salon the customer service was exceptional. They were very professional as well as the salon being clean and they finished my hair in a timely fashion, I enjoyed my visit there and would recommend marly's to anyone.
Excellent atmosphere and staff. Everyone was so friendly and they seemed to genuinely like each other. I got Senegalese Twists and I am so pleased with the amount of time it took and how the staff all worked together to make sure I was finished in a timely manner. i would recommend this shop to everyone. My braids look great and they weren't too tight!
