My child attended their VPK program. The teacher was very nice and my child loved her, but English was not her first language and on several occasions things came home misspelled. Did not feel like academics were their strong suit. The school attempted to make the parents pay for several weeks of school (approx $125/week for 4 hr days=part time) at the end of the year. I believe the total was to be $450. This was for the state program, supposed to be free VPK program. They claimed that ALCs year extended past the $ alloted for VPK program. Fine if you want to your child in sch for more time, but I didn't. So, since I refused to pay the $450, my child wasn't allowed to be in the end of year grad program. They way they structured the days, in order to do this, is that they did not give our kids a Christmas break. Anyone who wanted to take their child out for a week during Cmas was threatened that they may not be able to return. Also, had another few other frustrating situations. I spoke with the owner on several occasions. She was very defensive and incapable of relating.
