I walked into Madison Tattoo shop and was instantly asked how can I help you. Most tattoo shops you stand around for awhile like a dear starring into headlights cause no one will speak up and ask if you need anything. The shop was clean and had a unique vibe to it. You can tell that they actually put thought into it and didn’t just put a bunch of random crap on the walls like most tattoo shops do. I was there to see Jimbo Cutler the 3rd, I was getting the gonzo logo from Hunter S. Thompson’s printing company. I normally wouldn’t get a tattoo from someone that just finished up there apprenticeship, but after seeing how fast he progressed after doing 40 palm sized tattoo’s I was impressed. His lines were straight and he paid close attention to the small detail. Due to experiences with male tattoo artists which most had heavy hands , I prefer women tattoo artist . I would say that Jimbo had a lighter hand then most which made it more comfortable unlike other artist who dug too far into my skin. I would say if Jimbo continues in this industry he has the potential to become one of LA’s best. He is a very talented artist. Above all else I was mostly impressed by the shops cleanliness, and knowledge of sterile practices. If you visit this shop you wont be treated like a moron, the artist here are friendly and open to ideas and meeting new clients. I’ve never felt more welcome in a tattoo shop. Madison tattoo would be a great place for a first timer to get a tattoo because you’ll be treated with respect through out the entire process.

Madison Tattoo is my kind of shop, it has an open, inviting nature and it's full of friendly, talented artists. It's incredibly clean and the bs attitude that so many other shops display is non-existent. (you know the one, like they don't need your business?)
I've got 2 incredible pieces from Franklin and will be back for more. I'm thoroughly impressed by his passion for the art, originality, and dedication to giving the client a piece of art that exceeds their expectations. He has clean lines, great shading, color, and a light hand. I highly recommend him and here's a tip: You REALLY hook him up when you pay with cash.
Thanks for reading, go get inked!

When I went in for my first tattoo ever, I was slightly nervous, and had never been to Madison before. Right off the bat, Franklin made me feel comfortable and confident that I picked the right artist for me. Got an even more amazing tattoo than I thought I would, amazing detail and good pricing. Great atmosphere, calm, fun and very clean. Recently went back for my second tattoo and I don't want to go anywhere else. Highly recommend Franklin, he's awesome!

I love this shop! Tastefully decorated...the interior isn't lined with the flash you usually see in shops. And it's very clean. Everyone is very nice, but Franklin has done three tattoos for me so far. He's been able to incorporate his new designs to compliment work I've had done previously. I literally get stopped on the street by admirers of his work. I've referred my friends who are also very pleased with his talent. Can't wait to have more work done.

Everyone at the shop is very nice, very helpful and professional, it is super clean and I have never had anything less than an amazing experience. Cole has done 2 tattoos for me now, including an amazing half-sleeve. His design was way better than I originally imagined and he was great about working with me and changing a few things up to make it perfect. He was extremely patient with me and is absolutely one of the nicest guys I've ever met!

First off this place looks awesome when you step in. It's got a zen type look to it so you immediately feel calm and relaxed. I went in for my lip piercing and had Jimbo do it for me. This was his first lip piercing and he did a phenomenal job! He made sure I was taken care of and that I was relaxed and comfortable, and he sterilized everything and anything right in front of me. I'm definitely going back for any piercings/tattoos. Love this place! Also everyone there looks attractive so that's a plus ;)

Seriously, it's true. I met Frank(lin) through my uncle, who happens to be a close friend of his. When I went to see Frank, I was immediately comfortable, he was kind and professional but had a friendly air to him, as well as the entire shop. The other guys there are awesome, and everyone was respectful and interested in each others work. Frank inked his first Koi fish on my right leg, and it is the most AMAZING Koi I've seen. I am so proud to have ink done by Frank, and look forward to more in the future. Definitely go see him and feel 100% comfortable in choosing him to ink you!
I came in to Frank with an old tattoo that I wanted touched up and added onto. Frank has the most amazing use of color and he suggested some options for me that are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. His linework is so precise and the art he did was perfect for me. He puts so much care into each part of the process, it makes it such a great experience. The shop has such a great welcoming atmosphere, you can see yourself wanting to stop by and hang out every weekend. He's tattooed my friends too and he's just an incredible versatile artist.
Everyone in this shop is extremely talented, but my favorite artist is Cole. Great idea's, great art! The entire shop is great and everyone makes you feel welcomed. The banter around the shop is so funny, you have to hold in laughs so you don't move. Great environment, great people! I recommend this spot for a first tattoo or a 50th tattoo!
