I don't know why my friend likes this place because THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE!!!! The chicken is boiled first and then added to the rest of the ingredients, thus having no flavor. The Pad Thai has no taste to it. Every time I go the food tastes slightly burnt and greasy. This is the third and last time I will eat their food. If you want good Thai food, go to Khao Thai of Roscoe Blvd in Panorama City.

First off, I have to say that I'm not Asian, so I couldn't tell you if the food tastes as well as it should. I wasn't all that crazy about it myself, although a lot of people swear by it. I will take their word for it and perhaps their food is ok. However, the girl that served us there could have been friendlier and more professional. Maybe it was an off-day for her. Again, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. Me personally, I will not go back there again, but I could see how a lot of people might like that place.

The customer service is HORRIBLE!!!
I don't know if they favor their oriental customers, but everytime I've been there (about 3-4 times) I have gotten nothig but negative attitude, once after being seated for 20 minutes I had to stand up and walk up to the counter demand they give me MENUS....LOL that is ridiculous!!!!!
I WILL NEVER AGAIN GO THERE AGAIN....unfortunately their food is pretty good,
but not as amazing as ORIGINAL THAI on Riverside Dr. and Camarillo, they really do have wonderful food and Great service, you want proof look at their reviews.
Last time we visited Krua Thai my husband went into the bathroom (that was his 1st time at Krua) , well, while he was in the restroom waiting to use the stall, there was a man in there doing #2....As God as My Husband's witness, the COOK!!!!!!!! (wearing his white little outfit) stepped out of the stall he was pooping in and didn't wash his hands, he simply went out the bathroom and right back into the kitchen.

I have been a patron of this place since 1999 and trust me this is a grrreat thai place. Busy place but friendly service, they have two versions of pad thai, you should try the Krua thai Pad Thai. Ev , my husband loves the crispy chicken over rice which comes with a little bowl of chicken broth. It is basically thin lightly breaded juicy chicken breast over white rice, would recommend for kids as well. We also consistently order the wonton soup which comes with thinly sliced BBQ pork and tons of crispy bok choi. For appetizers the egg rolls are great, so are the shrimp cakes but avoid the crab cakes, I ordered them once and they where tasteless. Oh and don't forget to order their shrimp fried rice it's awesome, it is so good you can eat it as a meal. Almost forgot to mention they have a ""Green Room"" which you can reserve for a party I believe it is good for over 25 people and it is free. This place is great except for parking, not enough parking spaces but you can park in front of Krua Thai on Sherman Way. People love this place so much I see them parking at the Denny's restaurant parking lot next door and walk over to Krua Thai to eat!!! Not that I am recommending this!

PS Don't forget their Boba drinks, I would recommend the watermelon and for desert their ""heavenly"" cappuccino ice cream.
I love the food and keep coming back, despite the fact that service is fair to indifferent. I usually order the basics: Pad Thai, Satay, and a cold Thai Iced Tea. I'm afraid to order anything else because 1) I'm not sure what I'm getting, 2) the young ladies who work here aren't very helpful to farang (non-Thais) and 3) I'm afraid something will be too hot. It draws Thais so that indicates that the food is authentic and delicious. Parking is attrocious around lunch time, a little bit better for an evening meal. The Pad Thai contains all the things that made you fall in love with it at first: crunchy peanuts, lime, and bean sprouts that you mix in according to your tastes. The peanut butter dipping sauce for the Satay is one of the better ones I've had. (So often at some Thai restaurants it's watery or greasy.)
My girlfriend likes spicy, the hotter the better, and she's never disappointed. Her favorite is the mee krob. You can have them tone it down, if you wish.

my favorite thai restaurant in the valley, i prefer this place over SANAM, which is down the street. i normally stick to ordering the duck over fried rice or pad see ew. but here's a list of items that i've tried and i liked : general's noodle, tom yum soup (if you want something spicy), chicken fried rice, larb, crab cakes, pad thai (which i'm not usually a fan of), and papaya salad. they're open pretty late till about 3AM so if you're craving some thai food and are in the valley this is the place to go, and its easier to find parking here late @ night because they have a large lot.

This place a great spot for late night Thai Food. The menu has a wide array of variety to choose from with drinks that arent served regularly @ other Thai restraunts. The staff is friendly and parking can be a bit of a problem when it is fully packed. Private party room available.
