I bought my son his first electric guitar here last year. The experience was so good that this year I him to pick out his first acoustic. He picked out a used Ibenez six string. I even spurge for a case. I let the clerk talk me into the $24 warranty. We get it home and find the previous owner had glued the bridge pins. No worries I thought. I just bought it and I've got the warranty. the clerk at the store was happy to take it promising I could pick it up fixed and ready the next day. I took them at their word. The next day nothing. The next day after an hour I was introduced to a very slow talking young man who handed the guitar back to me in its case marked as repaired. It was in the same condition as I left it. When I asked about a refund he responded as if I'd slapped him in the face. He began to talk slower and refused to look at me. Since he was the oldest person in the store I decided to leave with my broken guitar. I'm gonna try my luck at another Guitar Center. Maybe they are better at their word.

Stopped in this store on 11 January 2017 about 1:00, the store wasn't very busy, yet not once in my 25 minutes or so in the store did anyone ask if I needed any assistance. The guitar selection is horrible, a wall full of Gibsons, a wall full of bass guitars, and then a very small selection of any thing else. Selection of guitar effects and switches was no better than the selection of guitars. I guess I shouldn't be surprised the the store was a mess on top of everything else. I had $600 for guitars/effects burning a hole in my pocket and couldn't find a reason to spend any of it in this store.

I rate this 5 stars for many reasons. 1. The staff is exceptionally easy to get along with. Many of them have became friends of mine. The manager of the store is chill, and the assistant manager, Dustin, is completely awesome. 2. They have nice, relate-able guitar salesmen (Bryan Harris, Derek, Ryland and Dustin are super friendly) 3. The store may be cramped at times, but the Acoustic Corral is where it's at. 4. They will help you out with whatever need. 5. I've had killer jam sessions with random citizens which is now a good friend of mine, along with the staff, Either super friendly, or super laid-back. Whatever you call it, the personnel of this GC is worth the drive every time. James Marshall Wade Fox, fellow GC lover, guitarist of 6 years, and friend to all surviving artists out there.

Guitar Center practices economic discrimination in their hiring/promotion policies. According to Guitar Center you are ineligible for management positions if you have a low credit score. Their justification for this is that people with a low credit are a security risk because they might steal from the company. How many struggling musicians out there have a low credit score? Well if you do Guitar Center thinks you must be a thief. I do not believe that any company should be able to base hiring decisions based on credit score. If you think this way to please let Guitar Center know how you feel.
