After living in this area all my life - I recently discovered this restaurant - when we did get Mexican food we usually ate at Teresa's or Mi Rancho - got tired of Mexican food because the food was awful - the first time I ate at Monterrey's I couldn't believe it - my first chip and salsa I knew this is what Mexican food should taste like - I was excited to anticipate when my lunch would come - it was delicious - the best Mexican food ever - try it - you will love it
Let me start by saying this isn't the "Ritz", but it is a great, clean, and safe place to rest your head at night, for the value. How much time are you really spending in your motel/hotel room, any ways? Worth the stop, and conveniently located to shops, golfing and restaurants. Food is pretty spectacular. Chorio pollo and the pollo azteca. Service pretty lax, but I can deal with that. Place needs some repairs. But food was surprisingly good. More flavorful than MI Ranchos. Surprisingly good find! ☆☆☆☆
