The service (and the food) at the place is ridiculous. Allow me to list the things that happened while I was there earlier today with 2 other friends (Keep in mind, the place was pretty packed): 1. We were seated as soon as we walked in. 2. We got our waters and the waitress came to get our orders as soon as we sat down. 3. We got our orders 6.5 minutes after we ordered (I timed it.). 4. Even with how quickly the food arrived, it still tasted amazing. 5. Their bacon was cooked to perfection. (Yes, it deserves its own note.) 6. Our waitress refilled our cups of water the moment we finished it. It was almost as if she was psychic. 7. The moment we finished our food, the busboy offered to take our plates. 8. The waitress gave us our bills a little before we finished our food so we can leave whenever we want (and not wait for the bill after we finish our food). 9. The moment we left our table, it was somehow already cleaned up, washed, and ready for the next customers. 10. Our waitress was very nice (and freakishly efficient). :) My only complaints are that I wish my stomach was bigger so I could have eaten more food and I wish I had known about this place sooner!!!
Ok, So you really don't know where to take mom and dad when they come on campus right? You guys have been you a olive garden they are all the same "when you are here your family" yea, yea, yea.Well next time the "rents" come into town take them to Medici. Medici has some of the freshest, best tasting and reasonably priced food in town, not to mention there menu with lots of option to suite any appetite, they also have a wide variety of alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks as well. My favorite part by far, besides the food of course is the decor. There is a huge tree inside that is astonishing, and the attention to detail on all the woodwork is impeccable. There are a couple of bar/tables around the bar one the first floor and are actual trees cut in half and beautifully stained and finished. I highly recommend taking your family here. Also the managers are great and the food comes hot and fast, if you get the chance take the "Fam" them to the Sunday brunch from 11-2 a.m. its out of this world!!!
We were seated within five seconds in this crowded restaurant. The waitress came to the table almost right away to offer coffee, then gave us a few minutes to decide what to order. Prices are in line with most restaurants; not real cheap, not too expensive. I learned that the name of the restaurant has nothing to do with the Harriet Beecher Stowe book, Uncle Tom's Cabin, but rather with the owner's uncle. The restaurant is relatively small and loud and it was clear that it's a dropping off spot for locals, as many of those who came in knew each other. The quality of the food was average and the service was exceptional. I recommend this restaurant.
