Yes, this post office is small but the people working the counter are the friendliest mail-clerks I've ever done business with. They are knowledgeable and always try to get you the best deal. I once brought in a box to be shipped that was a similar size to a flat-rate box and they actually took the time to help me pack the cheaper box - all because they wanted to save me a few extra dollars. I use to live in Virginia Beach and go to to the post office on Lynnhaven and that post office was terrible. Even though it was much larger than Wright Station the line moved just as slowly with double the amount of people working. And they were rude! I hated going to the post office when I lived in Virginia Beach. Now that I live in Norfolk and use Wright Station for all my post office needs, I love going to the post office. Yes, the lines can get excessive (it happens when the maximum amount of mail-clerks working behind the counter are 3) but it's wonderful customer service. They'll answer your questions and actually talk to you like a human being!
They should have a better way for us to contact ppl, especially after hours. I mailed a package to an address that uses this post office. I forgot to put the lot # on the package...and see no way to do so before it is delivered. Why can't there be a direct email that goes to each post office, say, to a particular person. This person might or might not be able to help with the request. IN my case they could tell others at this particular post office to be on the look out for this particular package and add the correct lot # so that it can be delivered correctly and not cost me more postage to mail it back again...not to mention the delay. I know that I can 'intercept a package' but it doesn't give me an option to have some one add the Lot #...and everything, including 'hold at a post office' cost more money! Why does something so simple, have to be so complicated?!! Can't someone intercept the package before it is due to go out to the address and put the lot # on it?! PLEASE??
I must say I was upset with my tags gettin sent back and lost. But Mr. Malone justified it I'm glad.
