Founded in 1885 by A. C. Winn, Winn Nursery continues the proud tradition of servicing clients throughout Virginia and eastern North Carolina. Fourth generation cousins, Barclay and Carter Winn, operate the landscape contracting business along with their staff of designers, project managers, and contract administrators. The company's main focus is commercial and municipal projects along with a strong emphasis on new home construction. Landscape services are also provided for upscale, repeat, and referred residential clientele.Winn Nursery specializes in landscape installation but offers additional services such as grading, seeding, irrigation, and sod through associated contractors. Projects are implemented in a timely manner by one of sixteen landscape crews led by an experienced foreman. We employ over sixty full time personnel to provide the best service possible.We have a Class A contractors license, strong bonding capabilities, a Dunn and Bradstreet rating of 1R2, and are pre-qualified for highway work in Virginia. We have the capacity to continue to administer projects in excess of $1, 000, 000.
