Meadowbrook Hardware

an excellent neighborhood hardware store. good supply of fasteners, tools, paint, plumbing supplies. a willing and helpful staff.

These guys are great. The store may look small at first, but they have just about anything you need. More than once I've not found what I was looking for at HD or Lowes, only to have one of the guys at Meadowbrook come back with it 10 seconds after I asked for it. And a lot of the time, their prices are actually lower than the big stores. Large building material orders, maybe not, but there's also something to be said for the convenience. I'd rather drive 2 minutes to Meadowbrook and spend an extra $3, instead of driving 11 miles to Home Depot any day.
