Patrick's Family Restaurant

Today was my first visit there in a while. My waitress started acting strange and then I had a new waitress. At this point just think it's a bit odd so I asked why. The new waitress started acting weird and said even if you did, it doesn't matter. So now I am aware that I did. Asked for mgr. Got a gal who said she's in charge when the mgr is gone. She stood there and said, when I have a bad experience with staff somewhere I dont ask for a mgr I just ignore it unless it happens twice. I felt like she was telling me it's my fault and I was just being a bother. I have worked in service for years and it doesn't matter what the customers being like you be nice as pie to them cause you never know what they might be having a rough time and you being nice to them might just turn their day around. When you work in the service industry it's not about you. It's about your customer. I WAS having a rough day. I went in there for a friendly face, a pleasant meal & a moment to sit & destress. I got waitress drama and made to feel stupid when I said something.
Well it's a shame. Their food is really good. But I won't be going back. The wait staff (except for the cashier) was completely unprofessional this morning. On previous visits there, I have often witnessed the staff as friendly enough, but seeming skittish. I have witnessed the owner be incredibly hateful at times to people. Then I noticed today on facebook a post from a guy who had green grits. I had ordered grits with my meal and thought they looked a little green too, but I thought maybe it was the lighting. I went looking for the guys comment later because I got really thirsty and have a headache now and I wondered if it was from those grits, and that guys comment wasn't there any more. Deleted?. I read some reviews and noticed the owner being snarky and her friends and family ganging up on the commenters. I don't care HOW tasty a places food is. If the service is bad, I will take my business elsewhere.

Great location. The food is very good family style. Great menu, something for everyone. Great specials. Prices are great.
